Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

I'd give it 5 stars, but there are some small, though frequent, bugs/crashes and dull female armor design that force me to take one star away.

I can't even count the hours I spent playing and replaying it over and over again. This is the RPG the way it should be.

The gog version still requires the NTcore ram patch to not crash and i encountered other strange bugs my recent last attempt to play this like, like not being able to leave flemeth's hut after the battle of Ostagar. Despite the downgrade in graphic quality and no access to mods my best days with this game were on Xbox 360 where at least it worked.

This game runs rough on a modern PC. I had to turn off sound to stop it crashing all the time. Even then it crashed enough that I had to keep timely saves going. Once my character lost all his equipment. The crafting system (especially Enchanting Runes in Awakening) is horrible. That being said I only paid $5 and I played through all of Origins and Awakening and some of the DLC. I love the game when it works. The story line is interesting. The battles are fun. I wish the sound worked better because there are a lot of funny dialogs between the characters that I missed. At the $40 new game level I wouild have quit and gotten the refund. But under $10 its well worth a try
