Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Far outshines even it's sequels. What all other RPG's try to be. Made back when story mattered, and not trying to force some social agender on the customers that bought it. (Looking at you BG3).

I fell in love with DA:O on the 360 first. Soon after I got the PC version on sale, one code ended up working for two different platforms which was sweet Then I went and played it on my PS3. There is significant replay value, so when I played it on the consoles, I bought the digital versions (with some serious discounts I might add) to make it run a bit faster off the HDD. Now with its appearance on GOG I am happy to own all the digital and physical versions, including one CE set. Like all my other versions, I will play it through again with my DRM-free installed DA:O UE courtesy of GOG. As for the game itself, the writing, especially the dialogue, was superbly done. The story was well-crafted with a mix of sorrow, humor, wit, the mundane and urgency when called for. The voice-acting was generally stellar. The RPG elements were balanced appropriately and with sufficient variety to make the game very interesting. If for some reason, you missed DA:O UE before now, it's not too late to enjoy it. So git it!

I only played the game for like 2 hours and though the graphics are dated the story seems interesting but i really need to warn future buyers of the scaling problem: if you play at 2560x1440 like me.. the text is SO SMALL.. and you cannot change it bigger..

Crash, crash, crash. Yes, my PC can more than handle it. Want to skip a cutscene? Crash. Accidentally hit a key that's not bound in configuration? Crash. Glad I got this on sale and not full price.

it's really buggy. I had to restart it multiple times and sometimes saves didn't load and I had to reload saves I made before aka losing 1-2 hours of a gameplay.
