All time classic games, but better to Mame. No scanlines and etc filter. The graphics is terrible.

It's a fan-game, not a remake
While the graphics and music may have improved in this game over the original NES versions, this is simply a adifferent set of games. I wouldn't recommend this if you were expecting rework of the old classics. This looks and feels a lot like Double Dragon, but the levels are totally different, the enemies are similar but different, and the controls are still rough. I'm not reducing the star rating because this game is trying to supersede the original, but rather I'm reducing the star rating because of the traps in some of the stages. It is simply impossible to not take damage or lose a few lives from the stage itself. No avoiding them, and it's super annoying. The game is otherwise perfectly playable. Hope this review helps.

Really bad.
I wish I could give this 0 stars.. it really is bad. Controls don't work as advertised, and the game isn't the "classic" game you're probably expecting.. it feels like a cheap knockoff. This review is solely based on DD1.. I couldn't force myself to even try the other two after that. And how does this game have a 3 star average rating? Almost all ratings are 1 star!

NOT DRM-Free
And it begins. I was roasted for saying we would start seeing games that forced use of the client and it seems I was right. Will more be coming? We all know the answer. GOG, stick to what got you here and that is TRULY DRM-Free downloadable games. I don't want to be forced to use your damn client.

Wonderful classic!
My brothers and I grew up on Double Dragon for the NES. We played it continuously through our childhood and still play it from time to time. It is one of gaming's classics and should be experienced by every generation. I have bought this version from GoG, but I haven't played it yet. While I can't comment on this specific version, I can't imagine that they messed it up very much being an old 8 bit classic. The sprites and art are a bit different than the NES games, but watching the video inspires confidence that it is still the same fun gameplay.
