  • Become part of a reactive, living and vast open world. Explore many different environments, fight all kinds of fantastical creatures and discover tons of desirable items.
  • Experience gripping party- and turn-based combat. Manipulate the environment and use skill & spell combos to overcome your many foes: Use magic to make it rain on your enemies, then cast a lightning spell to fry them to a crisp.
  • Experiment with different skill combinations to ruin the day for enemies and townspeople alike.
  • Play with a friend in co-op multiplayer. Make decisions together (or disagree entirely), as your interactions and relationship with your partner influence the game.
  • Unravel a deep and epic story, set in the early days of the Divinity universe. No prior experience with other Divinity games is necessary, however. The game takes place well before its predecessors, Divine Divinity and Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, but will still feel familiar to fans.
  • Classless character creation lets you design the character of your choice. Endless item interaction and combinations take exploration and experimentation to another level of freedom.

Brilliant but salty

A real gem of a game with beautiful visuals, and enchanting sound track, and an enthralling story! The game is mainly played with the mouse for those who are wondering although there is an extensive options menu that allows for many different actions to be bound or rebound to all of the keys on the keyboard. In just under 40 hours of playing i have had only 1 crash and 2 serious frame drops (the game crashed them when it was reloaded played fine for about an hour before freezing for about 5 seconds at the start of a fight and again during the fight when an enemy spawned 2 summons and then after about 20 - 30 seconds the game unfroze and began to run sluggishly. This happend within one hours of the crash and restarting the computer fixed all the issues, and i suspect it was a bug causing memory leaks ( for reference my hardware is an Nvidia GTX 970 and an Intel i5 4590, the game was installed to a secondary 1tb western digital caviar blue HDD) Overall the gameplay has been brilliant. Admittedly the first few hours can be a drag when you are doing the tutorial and trying to solve the murder in Cyseal. (don't worry that's not a spoiler you are told that in the opening cut scene) But once you have gained a level or two and leave the city you will begin to have no end of fun! The only let downs of the game are: 1: A miss click will kill you (you character will go running through poison and fire to stand behind an enemy instead of just hitting him) 2: Some times you will win a fight only to have the last member of your party burn to death a moment later forcing you to reload an do the whole fight again. 3: Traps will often kill you more than fights will. 4: Bosses are harder than anything that you will have fought leading up to them. ( for instance the fight against Braccus Rex is A LOT harder that the fights against the Lord of Bones or the Twins joined by Fire which are not hard so much hard as time consuming whereas the fight against Braccus can kill you before you get your first tun if your characters don't roll their initiative well and you will be barely an inch from death throughout the whole fight. To summarise this review Divinity original sin is a delightful experience that doesn't hold you hand or force you down any paths. Unfortunately the a few flaws that you encounter will leave you raging for hours and you wonder why you character was poisoned buy walking near the ooze or shouts "I've spotted an trap!" and then promptly goes to stand on it killing the whole party in the process. I hope you have found this review helpful and wish you many hours of enjoyment with the game.

More that 90 hours of good RPG

I didn't expect anything other from Larian Studio, in classic mode game don't pull player on nose. First you must think, most quests can be completed on different ways. Books in game are really interesting, and sometimes I cought myself spending more time reading stories that doing quests. There are only few flaws, like example AI of NPC - if you have high charisma or leadership you can atack few times before combat. The most powerfull weapon in game is ornate chest with some serius load and telekinesis.

Lots of bugs

I played the second one first and wanted to give this one a go, while I didn't expect this to be as good as the seconds one, I didn't expect it to be so bad either The good Combat is still fun even compared to the second one Graphics also look really good The bad Story is kinda mehish Music is not really good Respeccing your character is really expensive compared to the second one's system The worst The game is absolutely riddled with bugs: The combat queue works like 10% of the time The combat music suddenly just vanishes and never plays again Attacking and targeting issues, sometimes the game just decides you should walk over to a point instead of attacking Companions have really bad pathfinding and hazard awareness, walking or standing right into traps Save issues, when sometimes reloading a file resets some combats The bugs eventually became way too much for me to continue playing the game

Great and terrible

This is a game of extremes: - On one hand, the gameplay is excellent. But only after you gather a descent amount of upgrade points, abilities and equipment, which takes a looong of time. - The game doesn't hold your hand as if you a preschooler, like many other games do today. But the game tells you very little and sometimes deliberately obscures stuff, so you either have a mountain of patience for searching or look it up online (I have no patience at all). - Gear management is fun, until you realize you spent 4 hours just to make your heroes work on that new level you just got, because without gear they are trash. A caveat: payoff here is excellent, I wiped the flor with the final boss (on normal) :) The story, setting, character and music have some moments but in general they are ok and just ok. It was fun playing through this story with those heroes, but this is one of those games where the gameplay is the main draw. The mission before the final boss is king od annoying to play, and once again the game tells you almost nothing and you have to figure this all on your own. I know some people prefer this, but to me it was a bit too much. Oh, and there is very little decision making, so it makes RPG elements a bit under-cooked. If you are the kind of player who wants to spent hours figuring what to do or finding that one button you missed, this is a game for you. If you want to spent hours picking and choosing which boots should your heroes equip, this is a game for you. Finally, if you want to wait patiently (very, very patiently) to finally be able to get some new abilities, this is a game for you. All that complaining aside, I did finish this game (150+ hours) and I had a lot of fun. I just wish I wouldn't need to use Internet guides so often to simply progress the main story.

Great mechanics but way too easy

Cool RPG with amazing co-op mode, but even on the hardest setting this game is waaaay too easy. The battles are basically auto-win, and what should have been a great game is quickly beaten within 20 hours and put away forever. Final boss is a total joke I killed with one earthquake spell. Really too bad the balance is so horrible.
