Gather your party and get ready for a new, back-to-the-roots RPG adventure! Discuss your decisions with companions; fight foes in turn-based combat; explore an open world and interact with everything and everyone you see. Join up with a friend to play online in co-op and make your own adventures with the powerful RPG toolkit.

In Divinity:Original Sin you take on the role of a young Source Hunter: your job is to rid the world of those who use the foulest of magics. When you embark on what should have been a routine murder investigation, you suddenly find yourself in the middle of a plot that will rattle the very fabric of time.

Divinity: Original Sin is a game that gives you a lot of freedom and plenty of gameplay mechanics to use or abuse. The game's epic story may drive you toward your ultimate end-goal, but how you get there is entirely up to you.

Or up to you and a friend, because Divinity: Original Sin can be played completely cooperatively, and features both online and local drop-in/drop-out multiplayer. Great adventures become even greater when shared with a trusted comrade-in-arms!
Enhanced Edition features 1000's of enhancements including split-screen cooperative play and Source Hunter DLC.

Everything's more fun with a friend and Original Sin is no different! Drop-in, drop-out multiplayer lets you play online or in your living room, with local split-screen co-op and a controller-friendly UI. Adventure together or explore completely different places, right from the same sofa!

- Enjoy side-by-side co-op play with friends, family, and demons summoned from other-worldly planes
- Tired of your mouse and keyboard? Get full controller support for one and two players on all major platforms (PC, Mac, Linux)
- Hear the world come alive with full AAA voice-overs for all characters
- Enjoy a bigger and better story, with new quests, locations, and characters with new dialogue.
- Discover new battle styles with Dual Wielding, Wands, and Grenades - Try new game modes including Explorer Mode (for players who want to focus on story and/or are genre novices) and Honour Mode (for experienced tacticians ready to face brutal encounters, puzzles, and new monsters)
- New and improved user interface, graphics, animations, sounds, and visual effects
  • Become part of a reactive, living and vast open world. Explore many different environments, fight all kinds of fantastical creatures and discover tons of desirable items.
  • Experience gripping party- and turn-based combat. Manipulate the environment and use skill & spell combos to overcome your many foes: Use magic to make it rain on your enemies, then cast a lightning spell to fry them to a crisp.
  • Experiment with different skill combinations to ruin the day for enemies and townspeople alike.
  • Play with a friend in co-op multiplayer. Make decisions together (or disagree entirely), as your interactions and relationship with your partner influence the game.
  • Unravel a deep and epic story, set in the early days of the Divinity universe. No prior experience with other Divinity games is necessary, however. The game takes place well before its predecessors, Divine Divinity and Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, but will still feel familiar to fans.
  • Classless character creation lets you design the character of your choice. Endless item interaction and combinations take exploration and experimentation to another level of freedom.

Simply awesome.

This is an incredibly good title in which I spent over 150h of good quality playtime. The mechanics are well polished, the story and characters are interesting, and you can easily find yourself living the whole weekend inside its world. Totally recommended.

Just a Bucket of Fun Worth Every Penny

I ran this on linux mint, so be forewarned. Ran like a charm for me. I think it might have crashed once, during two whole playthroughs. Okay, the story was a bit incoherent and not up to Larian's usual standards but it was still better than 90% of the dross out there so until I can only take off half a star, I'll let it slide because the rest of the game was just *so darned fun!* The companions were not deep but they were enjoyable with their own sidequests and bits of input into the main characters and quest. There were some fetch quests, but some were deep and others fed directly into the main plot--making the main story more interesting that it otherwise, might have been. The battle mechanics were well...joyous. Blast baddies off a cliff, rain down a firestorm, make enemies slip n slide on ice puddles while another party member hacks them down, use the environment to your advantage in a tough battle and turn the tides on their ambush of your party... Absolutely great replayability although not much of the story will change. It can be played through with a weaker party for those who want to play for characterization as well, or instead of pure battle and for me, that is the mark of a well-made game. It's Larian goodness through and through so whether you're new to Larian games or have played many of them--this is a good choice. It has plenty of Larian's famous quirkiness and hours of entertainment for players of all stripes.

Trash collector simulator

Literally half of this game is inventory management. The excess of loot and bad inventory management system slow the pace of the game and ruin the experience. They force players to spend time on checking hundreds of containers and dozens of items from each vendor, as they get randomized every level and every hour, with usually worthless combinations, especially that some possible stats, as well as unlocking a spell through an item, are completely useless. One of the secret rooms is a library that has over 100 lootable places. The worst part is that some places actually contain crucial quest items. I was only able to complete the game after creating a 2-man lone wolf party so that I don't need to bother with this loot system as much.

A Very Disappointing Game

Character creation has issues. The game will warn you if you remove points from your class’s primary skill. If you switch weapon skills you will get no warning, and your automatic load out of weapons will not update, so you will be suboptimal. The camera options are a mess, requiring you to zoom in and out to see everything. This made it a pain to find loot. After an hour of playing I finally got a tutorial notice of the key combination that highlights treasure in your area. You still need to zoom in and out to be able to pick up your loot. The first companion I found had such a backstory I had to look her up online to confirm she wasn’t a trap. The next one had an incongruous Texan accent in a fantasy game, with a kill-em-all approach that seemed a bad stereotype. I was very disappointed when the game revealed its “Save the universe” plot, moreso as it bears an uncanny resemblance to a storyline DC Comics published nearly a decade before the game was released. One of the two all-powerful beings you meet contradicts herself in her first few lines of dialogue, creating a plot hole. After this you are set on a quest that leads you into teleporting into a room where a woman is bathing, and apparently you are to enjoy being humiliated by this event. This also introduces you to the odd game mechanic of having to rock-paper-scissors for social interactions it is entirely possible for your main characters to have to R-P-S each other in arguments, where the computer acts for one of your characters. I encountered a orc. The game tries to make you feel bad if you decide to fight the monster that is resting a few dozen feet away from the mutilated bodies of the people you are to protect, all having been killed by orcs. The dialogue after the fight indicates the orc is a “citizen” instead of an orc, so maybe someone screwed up programming the game here. After an undetectable trap killed my party I gave up on this game. Learn from my mistake and do not buy.
