Gather your party and get ready for a new, back-to-the-roots RPG adventure! Discuss your decisions with companions; fight foes in turn-based combat; explore an open world and interact with everything and everyone you see. Join up with a friend to play online in co-op and make your own adventures with the powerful RPG toolkit.

In Divinity:Original Sin you take on the role of a young Source Hunter: your job is to rid the world of those who use the foulest of magics. When you embark on what should have been a routine murder investigation, you suddenly find yourself in the middle of a plot that will rattle the very fabric of time.

Divinity: Original Sin is a game that gives you a lot of freedom and plenty of gameplay mechanics to use or abuse. The game's epic story may drive you toward your ultimate end-goal, but how you get there is entirely up to you.

Or up to you and a friend, because Divinity: Original Sin can be played completely cooperatively, and features both online and local drop-in/drop-out multiplayer. Great adventures become even greater when shared with a trusted comrade-in-arms!
Enhanced Edition features 1000's of enhancements including split-screen cooperative play and Source Hunter DLC.

Everything's more fun with a friend and Original Sin is no different! Drop-in, drop-out multiplayer lets you play online or in your living room, with local split-screen co-op and a controller-friendly UI. Adventure together or explore completely different places, right from the same sofa!

- Enjoy side-by-side co-op play with friends, family, and demons summoned from other-worldly planes
- Tired of your mouse and keyboard? Get full controller support for one and two players on all major platforms (PC, Mac, Linux)
- Hear the world come alive with full AAA voice-overs for all characters
- Enjoy a bigger and better story, with new quests, locations, and characters with new dialogue.
- Discover new battle styles with Dual Wielding, Wands, and Grenades - Try new game modes including Explorer Mode (for players who want to focus on story and/or are genre novices) and Honour Mode (for experienced tacticians ready to face brutal encounters, puzzles, and new monsters)
- New and improved user interface, graphics, animations, sounds, and visual effects
  • Become part of a reactive, living and vast open world. Explore many different environments, fight all kinds of fantastical creatures and discover tons of desirable items.
  • Experience gripping party- and turn-based combat. Manipulate the environment and use skill & spell combos to overcome your many foes: Use magic to make it rain on your enemies, then cast a lightning spell to fry them to a crisp.
  • Experiment with different skill combinations to ruin the day for enemies and townspeople alike.
  • Play with a friend in co-op multiplayer. Make decisions together (or disagree entirely), as your interactions and relationship with your partner influence the game.
  • Unravel a deep and epic story, set in the early days of the Divinity universe. No prior experience with other Divinity games is necessary, however. The game takes place well before its predecessors, Divine Divinity and Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, but will still feel familiar to fans.
  • Classless character creation lets you design the character of your choice. Endless item interaction and combinations take exploration and experimentation to another level of freedom.

Hardcore RPG fans might like it

To me this game seemed a very serious RPG experience. A lot of games are blamed for too much hand holding. Not in this game. Most of the time you don't know where you should be going or what you should be doing. I guess discovery is part of the fun? The quest log is a mess, doesn't really help. Inventory could use a search function. The difficulty also varies a lot. First you might be fighting some enemies without too much trouble, then you suddenly get a battle that you can't win. Optimizing character skills and equipment is a must. Completing side quests also (but you have to find them first!). If you're tired of glorified walking simulators where you just follow an arrow to eventual victory without thinking, then this game can offer some more challenge. Myself I'm a bit too casual for this game. Might complete it some day, but for now it's too time consuming, not worth it.

Good turn-based strategy RPG

Fun combat, interesting quests and characters, nice soundtrack, overall quite good RPG game. 7/10 in my book. In regards to ppl who write about DRM, there is no DRM, no need to create accounts etc. I installed game using Galaxy and I have no idea what they are writing about.

Good game if you like the genre

I'm still quite early in the game so my opinion might change, but so far it's very good. - The graphics are a bit cartoon-like but it's nice. The overall visuals are cool. The only thing I miss is the day/night cycle and weather, even older games have these. - The controls are good, easy to get used to it. - Combat is interesting and tactical, as it should be in such games. - I like the character development system. It is a classless system and you can develop whatever you like, but being a jack of all trades is not recommended. - I like the quests so far, they're interesting just like the world itself. - Music and voice acting are good. - The game has a nice humour. I recommend it for people who like CRPGs. I also recommend to watch a few tutorials on youtube if needed, there are things that are useful to know right when you start the game (which skills go well together, which talents are useful/useless etc).

Regret buying it

This is one of the few times I regret buying a game. For as much good publicity as this game gets I have never been engaged enough by it to get past the tutorial island that is act I. I decided I wouldn't buy any Larian games as a result of it. Fallowing the launch of BG3 I decided to give this game a 5th or 6th try. This game is just not for me. There are two kinds of RPG players, the story kind that gravitate to RPGs because they tend to be the games with the best stories and the mechanical kind that like TTRPG mechanics and would be content with skipping all the story. I'm a story guy. I buy RPGs because that's where the best stories can be found - at least when it comes to video games. I don't mind mechanics, but you have to give me a reason to engage with them since I'm not there for them. The story of DOS is bad, to put it mildly. And while some people can't stop gashing over the mechanics I find them tedious and SLOW. For me, this game couldn't be worse. A story not worth remembering and an incredibly tedious and slow combat system. The idea behind the system is great and was I not an owner of this game already I'd probably be extremely exited hearing it described, but yeah... NO. The fights in this CRPG are just way, way too boring for my taste. I avoid JRPGs because of the slow turn based combat. Putting them in a CRPG won't change my mind on them. I understand why some people might like the depth the combat system provides but for me it's a snore fest and a waste of time. Honestly, if you intend to buy this game or to try out a game you've owned for years but never played because of some new release, please ask yourself just this one question: do you like turn based combat or not? It doesn't matter how in depth the combat system can go, if you don't like turn based combat you will not like this game.

Good game

The game is good, but some of the design decisions are stupid. After pressing alt + tab, the game does not silence. And the sentences of the characters keep repeating. Also, the game does not pause when entering the menu. So if I want peace, I have to quit the game every time. It cannot be left running in the background.
