Great game, fallen company
Larian is a garbage company. Do not buy any of their products. They have fully integrated into the woke mind virus, and push Amero-centric politics in their games instead of just making things that are fun to play.

Its the technology of 1999... TODAY!
D:OS2 is a beloved game so this review is going to anger many of its fans. Its yet another in the recent resurgence of isometric RPGs Game using 1990s technology used as a stop gap measure between 2d and 3d games in 2019. It features a variant of the same base game play core common between all isometric games. Traffic Gridlock Simulator. It sees you endlessly clicking, driving your character around tight winding corridor roadways or large open "off road" plots of land that corral you into a small map with clear boundaries once you open the fog of war. You are forced to stop every couple of feet at an intersection where you dispatch a mob of bad guys in your way, or plot points that you have to wait and clear out before proceeding to the next red light that forcing you to stop and do it all over again. Making a trip that would normally take you five minutes to drive taking two hours of waiting to do the same things over and over and over again. Yet unable to drive past. The market has been absolutely over saturated with these games these last 5-10 years. It becomes difficult to differentiate between them. The antiquated technology of isometric view is part of the reason for that. A reasonably smart idea for devs to make that design choice. Allowing them to build a game with less work involved than an equally sized game using proper 3d graphics requiring more time and assets to produce something that looks correct in a 3d view. Passing off the graphic fidelity to focus on a story to tell. Normally that would be good but almost always ends up producing a long meandering tale with poor pacing. D:0s2 is a prime example of this. Its a slog that will take you 50-150 hours to complete. By the end you will just want it to be over. It may be better written than most, its still a boring drag that takes effort to find the energy to drive. It may be the alpha of the genre, its still the same old tired mangy dog of PC RPGs of the 1990s 25 to 30 years later.

It has potential
On classic mode the game is to difficult, or maybe i made it difficult to play. I try to follow the story and quests but I just cant progress, couple of times I opened a book or scroll and it trigered a "new entry was added" but I cant find that entry anywhere, naybe its bug but in the other hand maybe its me. Im sorry but this game was very confusing for me. I've played hundered of games and I have never dad similar experiance. This game can be something one day but right now I just want to skip it.
