Overindulgent
It's all so cluttered. I sincerely believe this would be a better game if it had half the budget. There are so many unnecessary little distractions that a leaner team would've had to cut. We don't need to be able to pick up every fiddly little object, we don't need a crafting system, and we don't need non-dialogue text narrated. These things are cruft--complexity without depth. It seemed technically competent from the few hours I spent with it, and probably achieved what it set out to do gameplay-wise, with surfaces and positioning creating deep tactical combat. But it just wasn't immersive--or, more damningly, *fun*.
