The eagerly anticipated sequel to the award-winning RPG. Gather your party. Master deep, tactical combat. Join up to 3 other players - but know that only one of you will have the chance to become a God.

The Divine is dead. The Void approaches. And the powers lying dormant within you are soon to awaken. The battle for Divinity has begun. Choose wisely and trust sparingly; darkness lurks within every heart.

Who will you be?

A flesh-eating Elf, an Imperial Lizard or an Undead, risen from the grave? Discover how the world reacts differently to who - or what - you are.

It’s time for a new Divinity!

Gather your party and develop relationships with your companions. Blast your opponents in deep, tactical, turn-based combat. Use the environment as a weapon, use height to your advantage, and manipulate the elements themselves to seal your victory.

Ascend as the god that Rivellon so desperately needs.

Explore the vast and layered world of Rivellon alone or in a party of up to 4 players in drop-in/drop-out cooperative play. Go anywhere, unleash your imagination, and explore endless ways to interact with the world. Beyond Rivellon, there’s more to explore in the brand-new PvP and Game Master modes.

  • Choose your race and origin. Choose from 6 unique origin characters with their own backgrounds and quests, or create your own as a Human, Lizard, Elf, Dwarf, or Undead. All choices have consequences.

  • Unlimited freedom to explore and experiment. Go anywhere, talk to anyone, and interact with everything! Kill any NPC without sacrificing your progress, and speak to every animal. Even ghosts might be hiding a secret or two…

  • The next generation of turn-based combat. Blast your opponents with elemental combinations. Use height to your advantage. Master over 200 skills in 12 skill schools. But beware - the game’s AI 2.0 is our most devious invention to date.

  • Up to 4-player online and split-screen multiplayer. Play with your friends online or in local split-screen with full controller support.

  • Game Master Mode: Take your adventures to the next level and craft your own stories with the Game Master Mode.

7y old game - quests are still bugged

I'd like to give it a positve note, but I just can't do it due to the crazy amount of bugs that cause quests to be stucked. For example one of the NPCs will take a quest item (a soul jar) from you, which doesn't belong to her, and therefore will lock you out of possibility to win a battle with otherwise immortal enemies. I read that there is a specific strategy to make sure that this bug doesn't occur, but honestly I'm just tired and won't be starting over again my 10h run. Yea, you have a tons of options to play this game but you really can't as the game will get stucked due to the quest bugs if you won't do it in a specific way. Battle system is fine, though its aspects are not introduced very well to the player. Character progression system is obscured - you pretty much have to google what skills are available for each attribute. Otherwise you will find yourself respeccing you character over and over. And there is also very hidden gimmick with some stats increasing damage additively and some dioing that multiplicatively - the difference in damage output is huge - but both presented in tooltip to be % increase which which is very misleasding. Story is a bit better than D:OS1, and characters are way better. Though, these are not even close to BG3 or Pathfinder: Kingmaker or WOTR. Music though, is on par with BG3 - easily the best thing this game has to offer.

Some very talented people made this

I remember the time I've got my hands on Divine Divinity (multiple CD's, can't remember how many) - that one got me hooked for RPG's for life. Since then I've been looking for similar experience. Yes - there were some good titles from Bethesda, Troika games and, and Larian (Divinity OS 1 Enhanced Edition is worth a look too). But Divine Divinity Original Sin 2 has rekindled those warm feelings I had for old Divine Divinity. New OS2 has beautiful graphics. Music you can listen for hours and not notice repetition. Some good level design. Character customizations are almost endless - Right now I'm playing tanky class for my main character. Already planing other builds for next playthroughs (that says something). Dialogs are fine - I love they kept it in Divine Divinity vain, not trying to be too serious or grim, have some tongue in cheek humour and easter eggs. I have'nt finished first island yet - I'm trying to be thorough and finish all quests I can, but there are some which I have failed or could not start due to my choices. I thought I'm not a big fan of turn based combat, but here it's done right - fights are not too drawn out, but have tactical depth harder to achieve in real time combat. Character leveling is impactful, you wait for those points to be spent and every level-up has visible effect. Finaly - it feels prepared for PC, not as an afterthought. Performance is good, I've got Ultra settings on my GTX 1060 3Gb, it hardly ever goes below 60 Fps cap I've set. It seems smooth, nothing gets in the way of gaming. Larian has pulled the trick - again. Once - may be a fluke, but twice or three times - that's talent in art and management. I feel glad to pay money for this product, the value you get in return is worth much more.

This game turned me into a recluse

I'm not a big fan of multiplayer, so I just jumped into this like I would with any other RPG game, by myself. Not gonna lie, I was super hyped after playing the first one. I never finished the first one, was too busy, and then this came out. I just had to check it out. A week later: I am approaching a nervous breakdown about the fact that I haven't seen or talked to anyone, nor have I went anywhere other than food. It was like having this 7 day super toxic relationship with a girfriend. Look, this might be one of my favorite games of all time, even though I've only started Act 3. The game is a ocean, both in size and depth. It's crazy. I actually love the Log system, and the vagueness of the clues. The amazing dialogue system reminiscent of Planescape (Avellone actually wrote one the companions, Fane) The game rewards curiosity like no other. Also, I hate turn based gameplay, but here they just can't not make it interesting. Elements, extremely creative and useful skills, setting up the stage before a fight. Man... Yesterday I was starting to get crazy, so I just decided to make a break. Please get it, if any of the mentioned things interest you, go for it. I just wish more combat situations could be resolved peacefully.
