The eagerly anticipated sequel to the award-winning RPG. Gather your party. Master deep, tactical combat. Join up to 3 other players - but know that only one of you will have the chance to become a God.

The Divine is dead. The Void approaches. And the powers lying dormant within you are soon to awaken. The battle for Divinity has begun. Choose wisely and trust sparingly; darkness lurks within every heart.

Who will you be?

A flesh-eating Elf, an Imperial Lizard or an Undead, risen from the grave? Discover how the world reacts differently to who - or what - you are.

It’s time for a new Divinity!

Gather your party and develop relationships with your companions. Blast your opponents in deep, tactical, turn-based combat. Use the environment as a weapon, use height to your advantage, and manipulate the elements themselves to seal your victory.

Ascend as the god that Rivellon so desperately needs.

Explore the vast and layered world of Rivellon alone or in a party of up to 4 players in drop-in/drop-out cooperative play. Go anywhere, unleash your imagination, and explore endless ways to interact with the world. Beyond Rivellon, there’s more to explore in the brand-new PvP and Game Master modes.

  • Choose your race and origin. Choose from 6 unique origin characters with their own backgrounds and quests, or create your own as a Human, Lizard, Elf, Dwarf, or Undead. All choices have consequences.

  • Unlimited freedom to explore and experiment. Go anywhere, talk to anyone, and interact with everything! Kill any NPC without sacrificing your progress, and speak to every animal. Even ghosts might be hiding a secret or two…

  • The next generation of turn-based combat. Blast your opponents with elemental combinations. Use height to your advantage. Master over 200 skills in 12 skill schools. But beware - the game’s AI 2.0 is our most devious invention to date.

  • Up to 4-player online and split-screen multiplayer. Play with your friends online or in local split-screen with full controller support.

  • Game Master Mode: Take your adventures to the next level and craft your own stories with the Game Master Mode.

One of my Top 5

Reading the other reviews I'm suprised many prefered 1 to 2. I enjoy stories that take their time but found the pacing of 1 dragged and 2 had a lot more layers. (I still enjoy 1 but 2 I found much improved.) I will say that although co-op is the big thing advertised some of the companion npcs are very ingrained into the main storyline - so that might be influenting opinions there if they missed that. The writing is fantastic, especially the humour - as is the voice acting. There are quite a few twists in the story, I really enjoy the companions. Mechanics wise there's a lot of freedom for out-the-box-thinking. I find the combat fun and challenging but fair. I also really enjoy the tiny details that Larian put into the world. Even though I'm fairly completionist, on my second playthrough I am still discovering new things. In short - I love this game and look forward to their future projects.

One of the best RPG games

When I played Divinity Original Sin I like the graphic, music, RPG system, inventory system, interaction possibilities with environment. But the story was not exactly my cup of tea. This was the reason why I hesitaded for long time to buy and play DOS II. I started 4 times just to familiarize with the system and find the best suitable character for me. At the end I played this game 3 times just fo explore other characters and their stories and get 100% of achievements. This game is masterpice between RPG games. After huge dissapointment from Wasteland 2 from developers of my favourite Fallout 1 & 2, big dissapointment from Pillars of Ethernity from Obsidian, DOS II is now my etalon how next-gen top-view RPG game should looks like. Basically if Bethesda want me to like their 3D RPGs they should be ispired by Kinkdom Come: Deliverance, if Obsidian, inXile and others want to serve me a good top-view RPG they should try to beat Larian Studio and their DOS II or at least level wit it. :)

Great game

Great game, especially the first chapter, it does get a little bit slow in the mid-game, but the variety of strategies and the ability to respec to try them out kept it interesting for me. A decent story spiced up by great dialogue, humour and fantastic voice acting. One of the best RPGs out there.

Highly recommended

I have this game in other account. detailed terrain design, beautiful sound score and the detail on the characters it´s amazing. You should take your time choosing your class and settings for these will shape your gameplay for sure. Finished once and started a new game with another character, I´m still finding new stuff.

Post-launch, Still Looking Excellent

Sometimes a game comes out of early access and just faceplants into the ground. Larian Studios has managed TWICE now to avoid that problem. The Original Sin entries into the Divinity franchise have both been excellent isometric CRPGs, both Kickstarted in excess of their original goals, and both times meeting and exceeding expectations for a rather small studio based out of Germany. The characters, while not as personable to my tastes this go-around, are still well-written and casted to type, combat has been improved in small ways (the first DOS already had speedy, tactics-centric fights), and overall the game looks slick as hell for a KS game. Haven't tried out the new four-player co-op, but given how stable and fun the original's was, I'm sure it's no slouch in that department either. My only complaints are that the game doesn't seem to give you much of a direction in the beginning, and early on its easy to get party wiped by even a single enemy that's one level above yours. This game does NOT fool around with requiring tactical thinking and using the environment against you, although some enemies seem to be absolutely psychic about your party's weaknesses, which is annoying when you might or might not know theirs. Overall, I bought this for the original asking price of 45$, and aside from a few hiccups I've not been disappointed yet. Its a great addition to any western RPG fan's collection.
