Great setting & OST, gameplay soso
I played the game some years ago(have the discs), both the main game and the addon. While I liked it mostly it has too many frustation points to be rated really good. What I really like: The setting, it´s humorous and looks interesting. The dialogues are often hilarous. Also the OST by Kirill Pokrovsky(who unfortunatley passed away too early) is really awesome! Well, if the same could be said about the the gameplay. The balance is often very frustating. The XP system is really odd, lowering XP income on higher levels. The end fight of the main game is waaaay to frustrating! Maybe it´s just me, but I didn´t find a good way to beat it and had to lower difficulty. The addon then is ok, but I really dislike the fact that the dragon character is already predefined, therefore it doesn´t matter if I collected the skillbooks for it in the main game. And the final fight here is too easy, even with a 2nd enemy(determined by choices in the game). The dragon feature is rather badly implementated anyway: Some places where you need the dragon can be frustating, at others you are OP. Also the description teases you with the promise that you can devastate whole landscapes as dragon, in fact, the ground enemies disappear when you switch to the dragon form, and you can´t fight them, only the air enemies. The physics are also rather strange. There is no fall damage, so you can crash from 1000 meters down and it doesn´t matter. And the story? Well, I don´t want to spoilt it, but even the end of the addon is a bad cliffhanger. Not as much as the main game, but still. If you want to give it a try, test it. But it´s still a small disappointment.

Very Good RPG but..
Be aware if you want to play this game on modern PC with Windows 10. I have i5 9th gen + rtx and game is crashing on each loading screen. I spend hour to test all sollutions from few forums and steps from GoG technical support with no success. I have no issues with other old games even in dosbox, so this game is not patched for nowdays. Verry dissapointed as game is great.

Close to Oblivion, Better in Some Ways
Played on Windows 7 64 bit, with 4GB RAM and AMD HD 7520 graphics. Plays damn good. PROS: + Huge open world, which opens up with story progression. + Combat is fun, challenging, and encourages a bit of strategy. + Character customization, while not as robust as Oblivion's, features some variety. + Plenty of side quests for loot, XP, and just plain fun. + Alternate main story based on decisions made during plot points. + Dragon combat! Acquire the ability to morph into a Dragon early into the main quest! + Dragon form, just like your human form, can be customized with new skills and armor! + Modest hardware requirements. + Worth it at $20 and often on sale for less. CONS: - No Linux or Mac versions. Not even playable on Linux via Wine. - Despite the modest hardware requirements, frame rates can get choppy at times.

Welcome to Rivellon
This is not my first entry into the world and it certainly comes as a surprise to see how the world has evolved, the village I remember that healed all now a huge metropolis, a fully realized world with sandbox like playgrounds, be it in dragon form or human you will find yourself loving the dialogue, the characters and the plot, at times it even has trademark Terry Prachett-esque humour, clear devotion to their idea, with the ability to mindread make people hate or like you, open ended storyline and quests... In the end my return to Rivellon though different amazed and has made this game both the game and expansion pack one of my new favourite games :).
