An Overlooked Classic
Released only a couple of years after Diablo 2, Divinity seems like a more natural evolution of that franchise than Blizzard's own effort. It takes the core of action RPG exploration and looting, and expands it into a sweeping overworld with copious NPCs and intriguing quests. It's an easy pick for anyone who wanted Diablo to be deeper and have more story. Unfortunately, the dialogue is weakly written and tone-deaf, and a host of bugs, breakable quests, and general unfairnesses make it frustrating it ways it shouldn't have to be. All this stops it from being the top-tier game it could have been. It's still worthy of recommendation and I'm honestly baffled as to why it isn't discussed more frequently in the evolution of PC roleplaying. Four stars.

Great until broken quest lines
Like the title suggests, I really enjoyed this game except for a few things. Coming from point and click adventures and the original Diablo, this game is all of that mixed up. Good storyline's, suprises and gameplay despite some frequent crashing bugs. BUT- the worst part is finding out you can go no further because an NPC/Quest line just isn't working, and although their are some complicated (for me) workarounds messing with game and save files, I just decided to delete the game and consider it fun for the time I had with it. I'm not the type to replay hours and hours of the same old grinding experience to try and beat the odds on a random quest bug. So that's that.
