A Fully Voiced Master Piece
You'll often find diamonds like this outside of the classic FPS genre, games that are incredibly engaging whilst having few quoted 'action' scenes. Games that spend all their time and effort building up characters, world building, asking fundamental questions to the player that to be brutally frank tell a much, much more engaging story then the latest FPS shooter. This game, is one of those games. This game is a adventure-drama, pick your own story experience, not unlike heavy rain, beyond two souls or Detroit: Become human. You start as a man who has suffered oblivion, you name, who you are and what you do are all a mystery to you whilst you attempt to solve a murder that has the stage set for a civil war. In the mean time you will slowly learn more about the world you live in which is very much alike and unlike our own current reality. A master class in world building all told through well voice acted characters and your own interal running dialouge will illumate you to its secrets. In short, the gameplay people will mostly be intereacting with will be dice rolls based on how you have built you character in certain aspects be they, intellect, psyche, physique or motoronics. If played earnestly this game may even reveal something about yourself you may have not known. You might be a staunch believer of socialist ideals, a champion of free market ideology, a conservative fascist or a idealistic centrist. You'll agree and disargee with many a character whilst you form your own opinions about the world around you. The majority of which will have some sort of effect on conversations or actions you encounter thorugh out the game in the form of unique dialouge choices or more often modifiers on dice rolls, increasing or decreasing your chances. All in all I wish there was more, for me its a bitter sweet experience. Sweet that I played such an amazing game that has me begging for more, bitter that its all ended and I feel a void is left. Really hoping for a sequel.
