Diablo (Belzebub)
The Butcher never appeared, otherwise an excellent mod. Challenging even on normal. Swarm attacks are deadly.

Not for those who want the spirit of D1
I absolutely detest when popular modders start adding in their own flair, what they think are jokes, and the like. The modder(s) put so much effort into their mod which is so cool, but ruined it all with their own sense of jokes. If you don't like Diablo 1 for immersion into a dark place, then this is great, otherwise, let me explain: Right when you start, you get a hint of what I mean: they went through the trouble and probably pain of adding new classes - AMAZING - but destroyed it by using pics of Sean Bean or Arnold in the character portraits. So you see right away they didn't pay any mind to the spirit of the game, they just wanted to show what they think is funny or fun, or whatever. They added active anti cheat measures which includes removing duping. If you use cheat engine to circumvent this, the anticheat measures catch it almost right away. You can still cheat and get all the crap you want like you were duping by getting around all this, so it's not even good anticheat, but it's far more tedious now. Let players do what they want, you made a single player mod, let people not feel like they are in jail for wanting that. Yes, the game is easy anyway, but that shouldn't be the argument. They changed too much text in the game. Go to Farnham, the option reads: Talk to Drunk instead of Talk to Farnham. This is a choice this modder made. Why? The other people show who their names are, so it's not what I thought was maybe "ok you don't know him yet, so makes sense" but it stays that way. So perhaps the modder played with friends and they all called him the drunk instead of farnham maybe. Or some online joke back in the day maybe. Added too much QoL. I am ALL for QoL, but let me decide what to add and what not to add. Making a waypoint system in my mind ruins the atmosphere in the game. You're a person going through something unknown to areas of untold horror that has been slowing creeping up. Why would there be a waypojnt system already in place for this area cut out by cultists and now demons? Adding all the unused dialogue, making the land fully ready for ultrawide, all amazing feats, but it's so watered down by this modder's personal choice to deface the spirit of the original game. Get another mod out there that just does a less obvious QoL changes. The only great thing about this mod is the fabulous ultrawide support, but the rest ends it for me. Other mods do support ultrawide but the map custs off where it would in the original game so you just get a lot of black space around.

Diablo 1.5 in all but name.
A Nifty little mod for Diablo 1 that incorporates mechanics and systems from Diablo 2 such as Waypoints, Belts, Expanded Class Abilities and also adds in Cut Content Ideas due to development time. A Treat for Diablo 2 and Diablo 1 fans alike.
