Diablo + Hellfire

Best of the Diablo series... darker, grittier, and the most effective and believeable atmosphere. Perfect music, monsters, characters and mystery. Impressively randomized and replayable. If you're looking for an arcade game go play D2 or D3 if you want an adventure play this! Beyond satisfying to this day... a true masterpiece.

I bought this game and next day finished it! Took me about 10h. Version on GoG looks great and works perfectly well, runs in 1080p and has some fancy graphical options like AA! All memories of my youth came back to me as I wandered through Tristram. All those sounds and levels, all those items... My experience now was as good as it was back in the days when Diablo 1 was something new. First ring that dropped: something something of a frog. -2 to some stat, forgot to which one... Getting trolled by Diabolo Uno never gets old :D Game didn't aged much but it is stiff in some gameplay aspects. Also i somehow prefer Diablo 1 than Diablo 2, but maybe we will see it here on GoG also. So if You haven't played it yet than do it! Just do it! Mama & Papa will be proud! Slaying Diablo will be written on Your epitaph! I wish You all only impressive blue items to be dropped on Your journey, not some "of a frog" bulls... frog! :D 5/5 Would play again and again!

The game is simple, good... and addictive.

I've been wanting this for years and never understood why I couldn't buy it on battle.net. Thanks GOG I love you guys. I always liked Diablo 1 more than 2. Better atmosphere. Now I can't wait for Warcraft 2!

Some people complain that there are no quality of life changes made to the game. Personally when I look for a game here on GoG I look for those who give me the genuine experience from the past in all of its "outdated" glory. The game delivers with its "Classic Diablo" lanch option at the startup and I hope GoG keeps to these experience without making the changes some people wish they would make. Personally, I think it would damage the experience.
