Don't bother

The revamped level designs are TERRIBLE. They don't add anything new or interesting, merely more space and more enemies. At one point I found a door that could only be opened with a key on the other side of the door. I was only able to get past it by stacking boxes I had to fetch from the other side of a loading screen. If there was another way around I saw no indication of it. There were other examples of poor to nonexistant signposting. It just pads out a game that doesn't need padding. The easy implimentation of the other mods packaged in is good, but just get HDTP, New Vision, and Shifter on their own.

Awful.

An atrocious mod made by people who apparently think they can improve on a classic game by making the levels bigger and more complicated for no reason, and also covering the world with unnecessary scenery props, such that you can barely walk a yard without bumping into a garbage bag or burning trash can. Also, everything is very dark for some reason. Apart from that, this mod is basically a mishmash of other, better mods, which improve texture resolution, model quality, AI, etc, all rolled together with no real concern for how they interact. It's shameful that GOG has allowed this, of all mods, to have its own official store page when there are so many brilliant mods that maybe get a mention in a storefront post that's quickly buried, if that. (Probably because THIS mod is officially endorsed by Square Enix, who now own Deus Ex, and apparently don't care much about how Deus Ex itself is treated as long as they can milk a few more sales out of this game that came out over 15 years ago.) Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Artist perspective

From an artist perspective remasters in general are a bad idea. Intention, feel and style is for a reason. Unless extremely rushed, intention is always there. An artists subconsciousness gets filled with design docs and conversations that will very much effect art, game and world design. Especially working with limited polygons and texture resolutions meant they had to focus more on design than making it look shiny. Recommend not remastering or remoddling DeusEx, ever.
