DEFCON

I got this game i think since release, I found it interesting as idea and gameplay, but a lot limited talking about tactics and strategies. Its a simplicistic strategy game with a very slow real time gameplay, as idea. The single player gets boring very fast, while the multiplayer can be very fun if played with friends, anyway the game is quite slow peaced, and can be very very slow depending what game mode you choose, so its quite a niche game at the end. Besdie that since release the game was acclamed from btoh users and pro reviewers, in my opinion a bit overhyped by geeks cause the graphic style is recalling a lot war games the movie. Anyway still in my opinion there is not enough depth in this game to really raise it to the rank of strategy game masterpiece. About the large number game modes for multiplayer, tbh i recall only 4 or 5, so maybe later was added more that i didnt see, anyway i have the opinon this game can be interesting for ppl who got some friends to play with, it can be fun, it can even be very interesting for someone, but i think it will not keep the most interested for long. Also a note for the price. The regular price tag is more or less the same as it was in 2006, which seems to me actually a bit too high.

I have owned DEFCON for some time and have found it highly enjoyable, especially in the multiplayer with the single player being a good thing to play in your spare time, watching the world burn. A good buy in my opinion!

Doesn't work on mac os sierra

DEFCON is a game that deserves much praise it gets but it was a short time fun for me. The reason is that the trajectories of missiles are not only illogical but it ruins the game balance so bad. Aesthetics over balance in the game just made me quit. I would be still playing this game otherwise. I could only recommend DEFCON for those who want to experience something different in a gaming world, but that is not enough to stay longer and appreciate it.

Says my multiplayer key is invalid, so basically wasted 10$...
