In a grim dystopian future, where mankind has scattered across the galaxy and the human society has split into two distinct classes, you are a poor stateless outcast forced to live off scraps from derelict alien stations and ships in the outer space, yet you dream of becoming a privileged citizen and living on the surface of a habitable planet, enjoying non-synthetic air, water and food. A fabled alien derelict ship somewhere within the Deep Sky sector of space is your voucher for a citizenship and a promise of cozy life on a hospitable planet.
Build and control a squad of up to three mercenary characters and set on to explore derelict ships within your reach from the scavenger's base. Searching the derelicts for loot and clues, you come across many friendly inhabitants and traders, but more often – various enemies. Challenge and defeat them in tactical turn-based fights, where randomly-drawn cards form your changing arsenal of combat actions, gain experience for yourself and your crew, loot dead bodies, resupply and upgrade once back at your base. The scavenger's home ship gives you the opportunity to heal and level-up your mercenaries, recruit new ones, equip them, upgrade their gear or recharge energy for life support during missions.
Key Features:
Fresh take on turn-based combat with cards
Refined sci-fi comic book look & feel
Endless customization options for characters and scavenging teams
High replay value thanks to procedural generation of content
Story of the human society divided within a dystopian universe
VERY UNFRIENDLY TO NEW PLAYER!! dlc money wasted!! :(((((((((
First I can't understand the UI and elements and mechanics means, they didn't introduce to player, tutorial didn't teach player exaclly how to play the game itself how to make game start to run, just stuck at freeze interface and provides a lot of useless small fonts stacks words and sentences.
After launched to a map, unable to move to other cells, the inputs are invalid, first cell is empty cell, cannot make any action, and by the way home energy refill is not free.
I feel as though I would enjoy a space-themed dungeon crawler, especially one that includes a strategy-focused, deck-building theme; however, I find myself playing this game the same way I used to play Survival Mode in Fallout 4, in that I would /find/ a bed to sleep/save after every major event/loot/fight/etc. due to how frequent the game would crash inside of V.A.T.S.
Yes, I know, that's a pretty long, drawn out comparrison without even bringing up the actual gripe: I find myself saving after literally every non-blank tile in the derelicts because EVERY time I run into an enemy encounter, the game has a chance to simply lock up. And not just the /game/, mind you...but also my PC. ALT+Tab works, CTL+ALT+DEL works, but I cannot select DSD from the Task Manager, nor can I end the task by right-clicking the taskbar icon and choosing 'Close Window'.
The solution I've found is to log in and out of my Windows session and log back in, restarting GOG /and/ DSD. All for what...hopes up/game down, rinse/repeat all over again? I'm going to try to tweak a few settings (fullscreen/video resolution), but I'm pretty darn close to requesting a refund, not due to game quality, but game-breaking bugs that won't allow you to proceed with the game's intended functions. Lastly, I'd attempt to replicate the issue on another machine, just to rule out hardware/software incompatibility; however, there's neither cloud save function (that I've found) or an easily targetable hard-save data file locatable within the drive.
So...yeah. I wish I could give this an actual rating, based on actual content and actual experience.
