Death Road to Canada is a Randomly Generated Road Trip Simulator. You control and manage a car full of jerks as they explore cities, recruit weird people, argue with each other, and face gigantic swarms of slow zombies.
Death Road is built for replay value. Everything is randomized: locations, events, survivor appearances and personalities. There's a different story every time you play, set in a world that doesn't take itself too seriously.

- Up to 500 zombies can hunt you down at a time. Fight them, try to squirm past, or run.
- Use the character creator to put yourself, friends, and family in the game. Have them show up and get eaten!
- Find special and rare events, weapons, and characters with strange abilities.
- Make tough choices in Interactive Fiction events. Get different options and results based on the traits of your party members.
- Teach a dog how to drive a car.
- Throw chairs. Get your characters strong enough to throw large sofas.
- Most family friendly zombie apocalypse game on the market! Any gore explosion is in a cute style. We censor the word d*ngus once.

Death Road to Canada is a really enjoyable and successful roguelite. The usual conventions and trappings of the genre are well suited to both the setting and the presentation of the game, and the novel adaptations of the old Oregon Trail conventions add a great layer of strategy and randomness to the mix. Whilst the environments can be a little repetitive and the need for replaying numerous times is potentially offputting, there is so much to discover, and so many different game modes to unlock that it's easy to recommend. While playing this won't necessarily help with an exit strategy for if your country becomes occupied by rabid and dangerous monsters, it's certainly a fun entry in the exponentially growing roguelite scene.

There's no doubt that Death Road to Canada makes for a great time, regardless of whether you find yourself in the rogue-like or zombie survival camp. While the game doesn't do much to innovate the genre at large, it's hard to argue with having such a good time.

Death Road--Rough Going but Still Fun
I've put in some hours with this game. While I can't say I've finished it, I can say that it's a fun ride every time I go in. I keep trying to survive just a bit longer. Getting better each time. That's how the Death Road feels to me, it's not the hardest game out there, but it's not easy either. The devs did a good job of making sure the pregenerated structures force players to think creatively to avoid or destroy the zombies in the way of the supplies. You will die many times, maybe get a bit annoyed, but you may very well laugh and give it another go like me. Anyway, I have a good time with this title, and I think you will too. --CapeSword

COOL IT!!!
I've really enjoyed playing Death Road To Canada. Whenever I hear that something will make you laugh, I always have low expectations, but this game truly had me laughing out loud more than once! It's very hard to get me to laugh and this was very pleasant surprise. They got a really good writer- they have a great sense of humor. I love all the references to other things in the game and the HUGE amount of characters and random events. I have been thoroughly entertained. The gameplay is very fun and I've spent hours playing this so far. I love Oregon Trail 2, and the road trip & random event elements are reminiscent of it. I can't believe I've never heard of it until a few days ago.

But it needs a ski mode on some events like I saw on my dreams lol
