Short but sweet

Not a long game but I like it here because every moment of it is great! By seeing the visuals alone you can tell this game is different and when you start playing it shows even more. With a mechanic to change perspective you solve puzzles in the weird dreamlike world (more like nightmarish) while running away occasionally running away from a few enemies. The game I would say it's about 90% puzzles and 10% evading enemies. The enemies, in my perspective, serve more to build up the world than to put any sort of challenge which I do like. If I do have a complain about the game is that even the small amount of times there are enemies they were more of a nuisance than anything else. Overall this was short but very fun. If you like puzzle and atmospheric games like Limbo, Inside and Little Nightmares I think you'll like DARQ too.

Unique level design and great atmosphere

This game is cool. I wanted to play it because the gameplay trailer showed you can walk on the wall. I wasn't dissapointed. The atmosphere is heavy, scary. The team put all her energy doing a game you involve yourself in. The control are fluid. You will run through different level trying to get out by solving riddles and puzzles. Some are more hard than other but in the end it's really feasible with some cold blood. The only blackspot is that the story is thin, you din't learn anything about your character. The only thing i can tell is that he seems to have a trauma with music instrument. Also i started this game on a low config and i could finish the game because of a bug that show when you don't have a graphic card with enough power. So i was stuck for a long time waiting to have a better pc. If you like strange and scary game with a deep level design and riddle solving, i recomand you buy it. It's a must play. Looking forward a second game.

Wonderfully weird and bizarre puzzling

Wonderfully weird and bizarre with a spooky and morbid style very reminiscent of the Addams Family. The twisted settings are fantastic and the puzzles are cleverly implemented with some cool mechanics, but some story or context would have been nice. It’s a shame the game is as short as it is, as I really enjoyed every moment of it. Some of the segments are a bit trial and error, some of the DLC puzzles are a right pain and the stealth / escape sequences aren’t as fun or interesting, but it was challenging and rewarding.

Living in a wicked, twisted nightmare

Epic, this game is just epic! The player is plunged into something looking like a deep, wicked, twisted nightmare, where, well, you know, during the dream all is possible. Even founding a mutilated creature sitting on a wheelchair with the head hidden into a big trumpet, struggling through the room while breathing. Is a puzzle game, yes! Is a platform in which you can walk everywhere, why not on walls or roof? Hey, is a nightmare at the end! The graphics are gorgeous, in black and white style and the storyline is harmonized with no soundtrack. Just the environment sounds and, yes! Is already enough to infuse the right amount of anxiety and madness to the player. Well done guys!

Phenomenal

In this creepy, atmospheric game you spend most of your time solving varied puzzles that operate on dream logic, with stealth and chase elements sprinkled throughout. It's all rather well handled. I wish that you could save your game during the individual chapters, but this is apparently something that the developer has expressed that he regrets it and will try to do better in the future so it's great that he listened to feedback. And since there are no randomized elements in this, if you have to stop playing before completing the level you're playing, you can recreate what you did quicker, provided you remember the solutions. And if you die during a level, it does not force you to replay very much. I think there's one part where you may have to do two, almost three minutes if you don't quite complete it, but frequently it's less than one minute and you can almost always tell why stealth or a chase failed, and how to succeed on the next try.
