Darklands

Should have stuck with my vaporware version, at least with it you know what you have. Just lost two hours of gameplay because they didnt disable the DRM for the game. Screw you GOG.

The emulator or some other problem is making the sound of the game, a great thing about it ! Beeing terrible , nothing close to what it was...

I feel bad for assigning this game 2 stars. But after attempting to play it on several different occasions, I found myself frustrated and confused every time. This game is not user-friendly. There are no tutorials - only PDFs to read on how combat works and how to create PCs. So, by today's standards, not a good game. However, back in the '90s, I'm sure this was a fantastic game and probably would have received at least 4/5 stars instead of 2/5. I think this game would benefit tremendously from a face-lift similar to what Shadowgate received.

I loved this game "back in the day". Unfortunately, it badly needs an update in graphics and sound. The DOSbox treatment does not seem very solid. My PC blue-screened after install. Maybe not related, but it hasn't again since I removed the game. I'll probably try again because I loved Darklands so much. But don't expect much.
