Darklands

finally, a medieval German game! all Germans rejoice!

Still one of my favourite RPGs of all time, even after playing Skyrim. One of the first open ended RPGs, where you can do what you want.

Sadly, what seemed like a very cool and interesting game descended into a rather disappointing tedious buggy mess. I'd read a lot of positive things about this game and love the general aesthetic and gameplay. But i've run into a game crippling bug where more often than not, members of my party just refuse to do anything at all in combat. They won't move and wont attack for seemingly no reason. The game refuses to allow party members to target an enemy. I then try to move the party member believing his path may be blocked, but they refuse to do that, too. They just stand idle as the rest of the party does all the work or dies. Seems cool. I just don't have time for nonsense bugs like that.

I remember in college when this came out, one of my roommates and I were playing it. He completely dissappeared for a week to play this game. He only came out to relieve himself and pay for his pizza and coke deliveries. This is an amazing game and I've been sad that I couldn't load it up on modern equipment.

I like pretty much everything about it! I've been playing it for the past 8 hours! although the writing is a bit hard to read at times. the people who made this should have taken the background colors into consideration. aside from that, it's a perfect gane!
