Developed by a team of experienced modders from the Paradox forum, Darkest Hour is a stand-alone Hearts of Iron game. Darkest Hour will introduce a new artificial intelligence that is now able to react to hundreds of different situations simultaneously. It implements a dynamic diplomatic system that will allow the player to have a real impact on the course of history.

Riding on the coat tails of history

Good: The tech dev is excellent in this game. The known historical events are fun - but railroad you into a very narrow course of action Bad: Hard to follow alot of what's going on, with pop ups everywhere and graphics take up space. The map only allows for one filter at a time. If you want to see weather you can't see terrain, or territotial control or even resources. I have played alot of hours of this game and initally it's fun building the tech and making political decisions. When the war starts its ridiculously overwhelming pop up infos everywhere and no fun at all.
