New Game Mode - Kingdoms - Now Playable!
"This squalid Kingdom, these corrupted lands, they are yours now, and you are bound to them."
Kingdoms is an entirely new stand-alone strategic campaign game mode available to play now in Darkest Dungeon II.
Featuring a completely reimagined game structure, Kingdoms is a parallel game experience to the Confessions core game mode. You will be challenged to defend a crumbling realm against incursion from all new enemy factions. Manage a persistent roster of heroes, gather resources, and pursue an epic questline in order to track down and defeat the source of evil before all is lost.
Progress in each game mode is tracked separately, and you can freely switch back and forth between active sessions of either.
Kingdoms is being released in thematic modules, each focusing on a different enemy threat. The first module - “Hunger of the Beast Clan” - is available now!

Best follow up in a video game series
DD2 is kind of an odd duck. It is VERY different from DD1, roguelite instead of pure rogue like, one fixed team instead of dealing with a team... And SO. MUCH. CONTENT. The game has been reworked, revamped, polished, completed a number of times... And I think always for the best.

gog have seperate saves for mac and pc
For some reason gog creates different saves for cloud syncing between mac and pc. (Your save files in pc and mac will have different folders named save and save2 in their cloud storage) It is not a game issue as you can manually copy your save files between pc and mac without issue. Your save syncs between different system with the steam version as well. If seperate cloud syncing is something you want, this is the version to get. For me I will have to refund, even though the steam version is not DRM free. Also, the resolute bundle on gog does not include the infernal supporter pack unlike the bundle with steam, something to consider if you care about the cosmetics offered with that skin pack.

Frustrating and unintuitive UI
Lacks good UI or guidance. Liked the original. This one is just too annoying to navigate without helpful tips and guidance.
