Recommended by Kilg0re, Stream Team: Daikatana is an underrated game in my opinion, that has an undeserved reputation for being a "bad" game. Though it certainly has it's janky issues, and there were many issues on release, there is a lot of fun to be had here. IMO, once you get past the drab, grindy opening episode (which is the one most people played in the shareware demo), the game really opens up in terms of graphics and level design. The John Romero approved community patch makes it much more playable on modern PCs, and I think even if it's not a bona fide masterpiece, when all is said and done, it's an ambitious fun experience.

Flee, Children. This is not a game. It is an exercise in mental damnation. There is glimmer of fun, no sour taste of ironic amusement. This game is a pit of foul, tainted code held together only by the wailing souls who were forced to craft it. There is nothing right with this game, and nothing worth touching. Do not let your money touch it, lest it's pox spread to yet another hapless innocent.
Aware of its legacy, I bought this mostly out of curiosity. It did not disappoint. Only further fuels my unpopular opinion that John Romero is nothing without Tom Hall.
It truly deserves its infamy of being one of the very worst FPS games ever released.
Hit-scanners, horrible AI, ridiculous save-mechanics, laughable storyline... and god, the jank. The jank is real with this one.
I can bare Blood2, but not this, this is too much.
Do NOT buy, do NOT play, it is an utter waste of time.
Nice oldschool FPS, nice Weapons (shotgun is my favorite), nice environments, blood and gibs...
Not so fun: i got stuck in some levels because i could not find the way and had to look it up. Oh and the sidekick KI isnt the best ;)
But, like the Title.... fun to play, if you like FPS games!
