No, thanks.

I understand what this game is. What I don't understand are that its held in such high regard by numerous people, for what it is: slow, boring, plodding, cheesy, unappealing to look at even by 1995 standards and a completely silly story that is barely resolved by the end. And I don't see how it was innovative, either. Better adventure games that came out the same exact year that do everything better than D: The Journeyman Project 2, Gabriel Knight: The Beast Within, Full Throttle, The 11th Hour, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream (now *that* game has what you would actually call a great story), Clock Tower, Qin: Tomb of the Middle Kingdom, Prisoner of Ice and The Dig.

D-readful

I like FMV games and adore slow paced adventure titles, especially if they have horror elements. But this game is just the pits. Slow does not cover it, here. The video clips are incredibly low resolution with some heavy scanlines applied. It can actually be headache inducing to look at them for too long. The waiting between scene transitions is tediously slow, too. This game makes other games in the same niche, like Necronomicon: The Dawning of Darkness, seem like well designed and cutting edge technology by comparison. Do yourself a favour and watch a longplay or something instead.

Unique atmosphere but too short and slow

I've seen this game for the first time on a Playstation, although terribly slow and short it has a unique atmosphere. Shame that the Japanese voice is not included in this version, it would have been even more dark. If you pay less than 5 euro for it then it can be a very good purchase

Oh man, the memories

Classic (albeit cheesy) horror gaming. I was so addicted to this game, back in the day.

Incredible!

Just as i remember. This is a Horror/puzzle game that holds up beautifully. A good story, multiple endings and a exciting gameplay. This is one of the forgotten jems of the 90's. Absolutely worth getting.
