After 185 hours

Solid first entry into a new IP but it's pretty heavily front loaded and there are a lot of missed opportunities that stop it from being great. Take Lizzy Wizzy as an example: created for the video game, used in trailers, great design, intriguing character, but used for a single short boring quest in the main game and a cameo in the DLC. The lore is that she poisoned herself at a huge concert and got fully chromed up live on stage as part of the performance, how cool would it have been to actually experience that instead of being relegated to text. The same thing happens throughout the game with various characters/groups/corps that I was really hoping to sink my teeth into because they sound super interesting for the world building but most of the time they're a one and done quest at best and just text that has no impact on the actual game at worst Cyberpunk is my favourite genre and I enjoyed the vast majority of my time with there being too many positives to fit in the word limit. I’m really looking forward to how the series is handled, especially if the quality increases are anything like the Witcher trilogy.

game is fantastic

i did not play this at launch so can't speak to any issues it had then, but cdpr have put a lot of work into this and it shows. there are probably a few criticisms still - traffic doesn't really behave properly at times, for as many buildings and locations as there are, i wish some of the elevated towers had more to explore (just more interior locations in general would be good, but the lack of high rise content in a city that revolves around them is a little bit of a bummer), once you run through the ncpd missions there could be some sort of expansion of a similar system because once you clear them out, there's a lot less to do, and i really wish they hadn't cancelled the once planned moon dlc, as that would have really fleshed the game out, imho. but the mod tools and phantom liberty dlc have added a lot to the base game. the new additions of vehicle modifications too are welcome, though i wish they were even more in depth (think, need for speed underground 2 - neon running lights and hydrolics, spinning rims, nitrous, pearl paints, tints, decals, etc). regardless, the game as it is right now is fully feature complete, does a good job of telling the story that's presented, has interesting characters and a world to explore. graphics are gorgeous, even on my older system (ryzen 2700x, vega 56 gpu, 32gb ram, 2tb samsung evo ssd) highly recommend

Absolutely love it. 9/10

I bought it on 2.0, and the only thing i was disappointed with was fixed in 2.1. (They added wheelies!) I'm on my second run, around 216 hours played. Combat is great. The missions are memorable, and there's a ton of smaller gigs you can take for quick cash and unique items (cars, weapons). The world is beautiful. It's also real immersive, has an actual culture and history that you can learn about if you wish. Great game. A few crashes, though. But I've never lost more than a few minutes of progress. 9/10.

Chromed Up Playing Cyberpunk All Day

Before i played this game i had severe depression, anxiety and bad eyesight. None of these things have changed, but the game is great.

quite possible best game ive ever played

holy fuck bro i actually dont really know what to say, while my favorite game will always remain somewhere inbetween totk, mgsv, minecraft and ssbm... this feels like the highest quality game ive ever played. Like, i see where the high budget came from lmao, and im aware of the backlash about the launch but in its current state i think this is one of the greatest games of all time. Keep in mind i say this as someone with pretty bad ADHD, i generally hate AAA games and story centric games, but this is unlike anything else ive tried. Since ive grown older, gotten more money and a beefy enough computer, ive gone through so many triple A games, both from when i was younger to recent ones and nothing has really felt as good as cyberpunk. 50 quid i got the ultimate edition which is base game and dlc, downloaded it thru gog but launch it on its own and i just forget about whatever else and get imersed in this shi. One of the very few games i consider is worth the price.
