Love it and I want more !
I've been waiting for this expansion pack and it is finally here. Cyberpunk is one of my most played video game. Main campaign was great and this DLC does not disappoint whatsoever. It has interesting characters, new story, new neighborhood to explore and extra Relic skill tree. The addition of improvements in update 2.0, makes the game that much more addictive. Thanks CDPR for this awesome DLC and your hard work improving the main game. I am looking forward to many hours exploring Dog Town and getting all achievements to platinum the game.

Brilliant expansion
The base game already was very good, more so with patch 2.0. Now with this expansion it has become one of the most immersive and engaging FPS RPG I've played in years.

Made me stop playing the game entirely
Full disclaimer, I didn't even finish the DLC. Not even close, because after what felt just like hours I just wanted to be done with it and return to the base game. To say I didn't enjoy my time would be an understatement as I've never seen a game take agency away from the player like this. I left such a sour taste that when I was finally able to return to the main game, I didn't touch it for months. 1. The intro missions They kept dragging on and on and on. From scripted combat encounter to scripted platforming section to scripted chase scene to scripted action set piece to scripted stealth section to scripted city introduction so on and so forth. I swear there must be at least 10 scripted instances of opening doors or clearing a passageway, it's that bad. I was waiting for hours for the dialouge option to say "Hey, I don't know any of you and I'll not continue to risk my live for you. I'm out." 2. The gameplay Just awful. Beyond everything being scripted, CDPR decided to what felt like quadruple enemy health and damage from the base game. My build used the strongest smart gun in the game with guaranteed headshots, automatic crits and any headshot multiplier and crit multiplier I could get and it would still take several magazines to take out single enemies. Get ready to cheese some encounters if you are a netrunner. But wait, the first major boss is a robot, so they will shine there with their quickhacks, right? Nope sorry, you need to shoot the glowy parts. 3. Characters and Story They never had a chance with me as I just hated how the story is forced on to the player. You are taken from one absurd and deadly scenario to another simply because one character forced their way inside your head and made vague promises. Once again, there is no player agency, you just have to accept this and risk your life over and over again for these new characters. After the chimera fight I started skipping all dialogues as I knew I would never finish this DLC.

Plain and simple; A masterpiece
After Cyberpunk 2077's shaky launch, faith in CD Projekt RED had fallen to new lows. However, over the years the game has been improving. Though, it always felt like something was missing. The story was good, really good, but it was missing that special "something". With Phantom Liberty, oh boy, I don't know where to start. Firstly, the story and characters are all unique and memorable. Elba's performance was astonishing. However, as to not spoil anything, I won't go much into the story. However, to make everyone want to buy this, I must comment on both the endings to Phantom Libery and the new ending for the main game. Firstly, Phantom Liberty. The ending...holy s*it. The music, the visuals, it is as if you combined all the best Bond intros into one. It is Goldeneye, Casino Royale and Spectre all combined and turned up to 11. The ending to the main game though, damn. It really does delve into something games rarely delve into. What happens to the main character when the game is over? What does their future hold? The new heartwrenching ending answers all of these in the most emotional epilogue to any game I've played to date. I can confidently recommend the Phantom Liberty expansion to anyone who wants an emotional spy thriller built on top of the excellent atmosphere of the Cyberpunk universe.
