After 500+ hours playing cyberpunk, the DLC feels completely different, such as, the "new way" to approach some gigs, and really love it, completely fresh.
The problem is after complete almost all the "base story" AKA the thriller/spy (and being honest, it was... ok*); the other gigs, as steal cars and help a fixer make the game fun. Why is that? Because you will start to feel the real about being chased, bullet in the streets of night city, run for your life... the cyberpunk 2077 experience <3 only if you buy the dlc.
The problem is when you get out from dogtown, you back to the reality: a cyberpunk 2077 with (almost) the same story. Moreover, the dlc feels not mixed, not blended, and very much separated from the base game.
In technical aspect, a LOT of freeze, a couple of glitch inside and outside from dogtown, and a couple of crash who close the game entirely. However, to be fair, is expected.
* = I can only imagine how much time, effort, would take for the makers create a story, building and then, deliver. So thanks for all the effort, really. However, saying, "the dlc is total fun" when it does not, is not fair for the dev. Moreover, the opinion is only "game based" so, any youtube//twitch//webpages//others interviews explaining the story further, well... do not know.
Had previously dropped cp77 withough finishing main quesline, cause in general it's hard for me to finish games (something happens in IRL, don't play for 1-2 weeks and lose interest in gaming overall). So i started playing DLC content without ever finishing main game.
I enjoyned this DLC very much, the story, the visuals, the dogtown atmosphere, the gigs and everything else. Thankfuly did not have many immersion breaking bugs (like npc talking and lips not moving)
For me personaly, this dlc was totaly worth the money and just blew away all my expectations.
I'd give it 9/10 because bugs
Phantom Liberty is a fantastic expansion- like Witcher 3's expansions, you can see how they improved everything, from the graphics and level design to the elaborate quests that are much more complex.
It does come at a bit of a cost though, as framerate will suffer most in Dogtown. Still perfectly playable on my old RX580.(with FSR, of course)
