This mission has bugged too, fixed in the patch in 2.01
was fixed according to the patch notes in version 2.01, not in fact
It misses the mark in a huge way. Core flawed design, like WASD controlling both movement and dialogue simultaneously, excessive and often pointless talking, long and slow sections interrupted with mayhem that feel so forced - you just move from set piece to conversation to stealth to conversation.
It's like the hole foundation is built up on explosions mixed with pointless chatter and excessive close-ups. I need more. Every seconds I was wanting something more - I want to use my brain, not watch slideshow of vaguely interactive cutscenes.
Furthermore, it does absolutely nothing to justifyupgrading the system requirements. They've basically said "we can't/wont optimise, so it's up to you to improve your rig". That's not fair. Given all of the other games are out there, all the ones that are bigger and more stable, it just feels lazy.
I didn't think it would be possible to enjoy my second playthough with PL more than the first time but boy was I wrong. The changes with patch 2.0 transform the game and I'm having such a blast playing a completely different character. Props to CDPR for the character builder and giving me a head start with cyberninja.
About half way through PL storyline and there's already been a few jaw dropping moments. Preem content & Idris is fantastic!
I'm up to about 130h play time. So far. Might meet Hanako one of these days...
Writing was ok but the main reason why I didn't enjoy this game is that you can't replay the main story and pick different choices while retaining your progress. I'm not sure how they didn't add this feature given they managed to do it on the original game.
So, in order for you to enjoy all of the endings. You have one choice, make multiple manual saves for every major decision. But doing this means you will lose the progress you made if you want to explore the other choices/endings.
If you didn't manage to get a manual save. Tough luck. you will need to create a new save and play the game all over again. Hopefully they add NG+ or an option to replay the main mission again similar to what they did on the original game.
Overall it was an enjoyable experience. But it really puzzles me why they didn't add an option to replay the main missions similar to the original game.
Extremely well written with significantly different paths and outcomes in several quests.
Dogtown offers tons of parkour and challenging combat.
Lots of new vehicles, weapons, outfits and other stuff.
Fantastic soundtrack.
A Must have!
