Back In Night City
Cyberpunk 2077 - I've got over 700+ hours in the game. Did it suck on release - honestly it did, but I was having fun, especially in the universe. Did I get annoyed with the limitations and bugs - you betcha, but I endured. Am I a CP2077 fanboi - yes. Can I be a little blind to some of the technical problems? Yep, I've got my rose coloured glasses. But what is CP2077 now, is the game it should have been in Dec 2020. But it is here and now, and it does run damn well. My machine is a little below recommended specs (a little aged, about six+ years old) - but the game is running totally sweet! Ye gods, I'm running the game with some of RTX options and is getting reasonable fps - something that was impossible before V2. If you like role-playing, you'll find it right here!. If you enjoy fun shooting, with the weapons and netrunning options available, you'll always find a new way to defeat your target. If you're looking for a good game, this isn't it - Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game! Recommend the game: I do most definitely!

I love the game, but...
one of the major problems I have with the game is that the dark places are too dark and you have no flashlight or the kind... I have had a lot of trouble navigating trough places. really an inconvinience that makes the game more annoying than it should given it has an easy fix.

ATF contender, easily.
Some may have been waiting for this game since 5-6 years ago. Some may have been waiting for this game since you've seen the first trailer 10 years ago. I have been waiting for this games since I have first read through the CP2020 rulebook 20+ years ago. And it has delivered everything I expected, even some more. FYI, I've started playing this only in 2023 (GPU shortage), by that time it was probably in a much improved state compared to launch, which is when most of the damning reviews came to life. I've encountered very few issues, especially compared to the size of it all. The great: - atmosphere; grim, but somehow fun and hopeful at the same time, 100% believable - visuals - fairly compelling main story - LOTS of very compelling side stories - good gunplay, good driving, farily flowing, instinctive; especially after 2.00 - world-building with all the data shards you can read, one more thought-provoking than the next - really, just immersive A.F. The world is lived in. You have to look long and hard, and have to go WAY out of your way to find places that got just a BIT less attention to detail. And a bit of humour and easter eggs peppered in for good measure. I was afraid of Mr. Reeves' portrayal of Silverhand, but in the end, it was just perfect. The not so great: - a few bugs, and some QoL misses, but nothing intrusive or game-breaking The bad: - nothing I so rarely get to say this, but don't buy this game at a discount. Buy it at full price, because it is well-deserved. PhLib, too. (Played through all of it on LinuxMint/Wine.)

Much improved over initial release
Just noticed that all the leading reviews are from launch. If you're debating this game, don't be put off by any complaints you see from before Phantom Liberty launched. CD really polished this up since then and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it - it's easily one of the best rpgs of all time now, it just had a rocky start at life.
