Yes, it has problems right now. Namely bugs and missing features.
But the characters, the story, the city design, the graphics (a decent rig provided) and the soundtrack are astonishing and I absolutely get lost in them.
So with a few future patches this game will be even better.
Instead of the devs...lets tear down the freaking corpos who pressured to release it before its finished.
Be it all as it may...I love this game <3
I played the story through taking the Panam path (so I can't review the other story paths). Frankly the game has great atmosphere, the music really suits it, there were some great set pieces, and the story is generally great - deep, thoughtful, immersive.
Just playing the game as a story (skipping any side quests, not deviating for 'world exploring') I rate it 9/10.
Unfortunately, GTA in the future it is not.
You are walking down the street, pull out your gun and shoot someone. You get a wanted star. Kill three more people and you are at the maximum wanted level. Police spawn literally in front of you, or much more enjoyably, behind you when there was no possible way to get there. Totally destroys the immersion and the game basically punishes a player from doing 'their own thing' - there is no choice and even in the story mode there are many moments when there is no real choice.
You continue walking down the street, as pretty as it is, and realize that for every shop/hotel/disco etc. that you see maybe 1/100 you can actually interact with. Almost every vendor in the city has no dialogue, they do nothing. This game actually reminds me of Postal 3 - amateur hour doesn't begin to explain it.
I don't know if the makers of this game have the money to spend on the clearly massive job of fixing this game - because much of it needs to be reworked. The only way I see the developers coming out on top, especially after Sony pulling the game, is to basically take every bit of profits they made and plough it back into this game, keep on a large development team and actually make it the best game ever made - and release it back into the wild in a year or two. They could call it "Cyberpunk 2077: Forced Update Edition" - regarding Windows 10.
Personally I hope they do take this route, even though it is obviously costly. It seems the only way to back out of having delivered such an amateur, high school project level world sim - the story is great, now make the world great too!
Overview - 7,5/10 - A good game that could be great, or even a masterpiece with a little bit of polish. Luckily, bugs and glitches are easy to fix, but are we going to see improvements in gameplay features?
Story and Quests - 7/10 - Overall great main story. Side quests were also great, but some of the choices you're forced to make as a player don't feel that significant. This is especially true regarding your skill and background choices, where they don't impact the actual story as much as I was hoping for. Some gangs get more love than the others, and I find that somewhat disappointing. I also don't need exclamation marks about all the cars I'm never going to buy.
NPCS - 9/10 - The characters you get to interact with in the quests feel unique and alive.
World and Setting - 8/10 - The world is densely packed with content, makes it feel larger than it is. Exploration doesn't feel very rewarding, and there are also a lot of buildings, rooms, street vendors, benches etc you can't interact with in any way.
Graphics and Detail - 10/10 - I really like how the game looks and how it's so packed with detail. Really respectable job overall.
Gameplay - 4/10 - Gunplay is run of the mill, stealth is broken, so is enemy AI. I played on Hard difficulty as a Netrunner and in general found it to be a balanced experience at the start, but later it became way too easy, even on Very Hard, so the lack of balance in difficulty is disappointing. And the lack of custom key binds is a huge oversight.
Other positives and nitpicks:
+ Soundtrack is great!
- Randomly generated content is extremely boring. You find an ongoing shootout between police and a gang, or a robbery, you intervene and it's all over in less than a minute, rinse and repeat.
- I feel like gangs haven't gotten enough love in general.
- There is no endgame, so you don't get to enjoy the best gear in the game as much. "New Game+" would be a nice addition, especially with this game's replay value.
I'm willing to ignore all the bugs and issues of a new game. Those will get fixed. What will not get fixed is the base story telling and plot. This is something that should have been scrape in the writers room the first time it even left someone's head. Lazy tropes, predictable plot, on rail sections are all just the start of issues. For a game made to seem so open world and "Play Your Way" you have no options or choice in the matter. It really says something that the side quests and sub-plots are more enjoyable than the main game. But really it's since they are short enough that they didn't have the time to mess it up. Was exicted to play, really; but no I'm just said I paid money for this.
As a player I don't recommend to buy this game now, because 2077 is NOT a complete game for any reason. Mainly bugs and glitches, surprisingly short storyline, and some of your promise still not fulfilled.
But I don't disappointed because this game really my taste. I can wait until you finish it.
还有两颗⭐等着你们呢。所以,加油吧,CD Project RED,别让我们失望。
