The gameplay and the story are amazing, however this game is completely broken in it's current state. Not only does it have immersion breaking bugs like car physics, disappearing npc's and quest breaking bugs, but the game currently has a save breaking bug!!! If you're save is bigger than 6 mb then the game takes a lot longer to load but if it reaches more than 8 mb THEN YOU'RE FILE BECOMES CORRUPT! I would've been okay with the game having a few bugs here and there but this is outright ridiculous. You literally can't finish the game that you spent you're hard earned money. Wait until the bugs are fixed or don't buy it at all.
Between having to restart this game continually and then waiting for it to update on a gigabit connection where it only uses 0.5 mbps renders this game unplayable ergo the 1 star.
Playing on PC (Ryzen 5 GTX 1660 16RAM SSD) medium settings and only one crash in 60 hours of game play, visual bugs are minor but this game still disappoints.
Preem:
Night City Looks amazing
SOUNTRACK!
Great main story and Cyberpunk dystopain feel
So much Keanu!
Good voice acting.
Decent FPS
Gonk:
Game is short. Gigs are repeatable and not worth the time. Only a few side missions are memorable.
Crafting system, hacking, stealth, all feels basic and uninstresting.
No backstory for V character, 3 diffrent Life Pats add like 30 minutes of gameplay in prolog.
NPCs of night city are just a mindless background, no AI, no interaction, mindless.
Enemy AI is weak and prone to abusse while fighting them.
Nothing to do in your appartment, nothing to spend your money on (no one needs 20 cars).
So unfortunate this game was relised unfinished despite multiple delays. So much wasted potential. CD project red should invest more money into development and less into marketing and hyping it. Save your Eddies and buy this game year from now. This game needs multiple patches, DLCs and expensions. I hope that it will recive it.
P.S. I do feel bad for people that bought this game on old Gen consoles.
When does AR come out so I can live in this world instead of trash reality? Unless Cyberpunk IS reality because I'm pretty sure the eyes with RT are more realistic than actual eyeballs.
P.S. Idk where are these kids crying about bugs on PC are coming from. I played the entire game (35 hours) and maybe encountered 2-3 bugs the entire time...
playing on 3700X and 5700XT. I've had minimal bugs / glitches /etc. I've got about 44 hours in as of this review. I love the story, world, everything about the lore behind CP77. But it's a mess. CDPR should have delayed this another 3-6 months in all honesty. The AI is weak, features that were promised are missing (Braindances beyond the few story one's i've done thus far), the UI is wonky at times when trying to give you locations for quests/enemies/etc.
I am ok with the $60 i payed for this game, as i'll be getting more than 60 hours of play time out of it. But it's sad that the Corpo suits at CDPR pulled this cake out of the oven before it was finished. I won't fault the devs as i'm sure they relayed the game isn't ready. I have no doubt that as they fix the game, it'll be just as loved as W3: Wild Hunt... but it's saddening that Cyberpunk 2077 had to get this black eye in the first place.
as of now, my experience is 3/5 because there have been plenty of physics bugs/glitches, some AV, but thankfully no game breaking. Combat isn't really a challenge past level 15-20. the side quests do have a unique flavor even if they boil down to being copy/paste of others (go here, kill these 5 gang members, pick up the item, leave the area).
I recommend this game immediately if you can get it on sale, but probably wouldn't recommend full retail price until summer 2021 (unless you have higher end hardware, and are willing to deal with bugs).
CDPR, please learn from the mistakes of this launch.
