Yeah, it's alright.
After almost 800 hours played and replayed... I guess it's pretty good.

Best worst experience I had with a game
This game is a masterpiece of storytelling, and I think alot of the hate comes from people that wanted the game to be something that it wasn't. This game is an experience. Its not GTA. Its not Skyrim or Mass Effect. Its CP 2077. Now people saying "there is no role playing in this RPG" are sort of right, but also very wrong. Its true that you get to pick from three initial backgrounds and that they ultimately play very little role in the rest of the game. Its also true that the main narrative is largely locked in a linear fashion, but to say its "on rails" is hyperbole. Not every mission has multiple outcomes, but some do. This is to preserve the narrative experience, and what an experience it is. I played this game when it first came out on my PC via GOG and I truly do feel bad for the folks that encountered game breaking bugs. Fortunately, I only encounted a minor glitches and nothing game breaking. I was able to enjoy the game and see it for what it was. I wasn't part of the hype train of people that thought CP 2077 was going to be bigger than GTA V so I went into the game with a clean set of eyes. The "role playing" in the game is really choosing how you interact with Johnny. I grew to actually like him. I actually sort of miss him since my game finished. The characters are REALLY well written. I got the "bad" ending (no spoilers here) and I legit had to choke back tears when Judy called me in the end credits. The game put me into a real life depression for a solid week. Full on existential crisis. Thats how well written the game is. Sometimes I go on Youtube and listen to the OST for the game but "never fade away" still hurts to listen to. I know its so stupid to feel so sad about fake characters in a game but thats why I called it an experience. I still feel like I let them all down even though I know they aren't real. I have NEVER had a game hurt me IRL like that. Bottom line, 10/10 game, would experience soul crushing depression again
