Disappointed

I've had high expectations from CDPR in delivering a good product seeing their success with The WItcher saga, however now I think that was just good play from PR and management teams. Jumping on the bandwagon on hating other companies and claiming that their best interests are customers' interests, releasing cosmetic add-ons and dubbing them as "FREE DLC", crunching on the development and the inhumane treatment on the devs. I could go on forever. I've poured in 40 hours in the state the game it is and I refuse in continuing to do so until the game will be patched and completely overhauled. As to put the cherry on the cake, 59% of their user base will get the latest patch, 1.05 sometime "SOON". -no key remap -cannot deselect objectives -inventory management system is clunky and counter-intuitive -performance : gotta do some backflips to get some decent frames. No seriously you personally have to apply some fixes. Beyond me why do I have to touch config files and game files. -no RPG elements, the beginning of the game and the life-path changes nothing, just some conversation options, but nothing that has deep-impact changes on the storyline. To make a comparison, think of it as the convo-system from Fallout 4. So no, you don't get to keep my hard earned money when you didn't deliver what you promised.

Revolution in gaming?

Bugs everywhere...but they can be fixed...what cannot be fixed is boring gameplay... - City is empty, side missions are repetitive without impact to the world or main storyline. - AI is really bad, even first GTA games had better police and citizen AI. - Hacking was oversimplified, its boring, better enjoyment is just shoot everything that moves - Stealth gameplay is so annoying...again, just use guns - Animations and features were also simplified, just watch promo videos few months old...wall running and climbing, nice weapons handling and tunning, sexy usage of swords and knifes...nothing is there in final version - Cannot customize your car and visage during gameplay - No drones as promised...anyway, stealth gameplay is so poor, that trese´s no need for drones -But most painful is RPG side....its not RPG, your choices does not effect anything at all, honestly, there are no choices, conversations are linear. Skill tree only affects hoc critical your shots are, how much damage they do etc. No new skils are added. At least, they did nice looking engine, so maybe in the future, after few more years, they´ll make something better

CDPR Misled A Devout Playerbase

Very little of what was promised, remains present in the game. Small fragments of great ideas never fully realised, do however. This game was marketed aggressively as an immersive open world RPG with branching stories and decisions, that carried consequences. The city is beautiful, but shallow. Basic features, advertised features, are here in the game as mere phantoms of the many promises made. AI, braindances, choice, rpg systems, all here but severely lacking or gutted, with many of the ideas present but never fully realized. All throughout its game world are signs that many aspects of development went very wrong. And the longer you play, the more you noticed how unfinished CDPR's heavily marketed and publicized vision is. It's hard to list pros without also listing cons so here goes: A beautiful city to explore, but its lack of AI systems and polish show the more you play. Interesting characters and stories, undermined by lack of any agency or choice. Undermined by the fragmented, hastily pieced together way these stories unfold. A strong beginning and strong stories, with contrived character moments that reveal cracks in how the story was probably meant to unfold but never did. (An example is the sudden change in dynamic between the player and Jackie during the heist.) (Or the infamous cutscene time skip at the start where you meet a character and then re meet them later for the 'first time'!) Hints of player building complexity, undone by showerings of pointless loot that's marginally better than the last thing you picked up minutes ago, a largely pointless perk system, and stats that offer nothing in the way of gameplay outside combat, opening the occassional door, or adding a bit of flavour to dialogues that do not matter.) Almost out of characters so I'll stop, where I could go on. What led them to release this? It is clearly an unfinished, passion project made by very talented developers and artists, lead by poor management and poor decisions.

Ambitious but empty

Review done after 67 hours of gameplay (NO Spoilers) Playing on a laptop with low-mid settings 45 fps Graphics - Very good (even on low-mid settings) Bugs? - bearable... but unacceptable Keybindings and controlls - just stupid (like nobody tested it on PC for sure) you can't even change some of them them ingame, have to go to config file Main Story - Actually really good (but short in my opinion) Side stories - Really good but not enough of them (game has potential for LOT more side quests) for real, the game has like idk... ten side stories Content (weapons, cars, clothes) - Decently enough (but again, game has potential for LOT more) Game difficulty - once you commit to specific build the game becomes super easy Driving - Vehicles handle like shit, very unrealistic and "slippery" (I got used to it though) Character Creation - Decent, but could use more options but beware, you can't change your character later, not even hairstyle (like wtf) My main problem with this game is that we've been promised enormous revolutionary game, yet we got .... well... this. The game feels empty, I thought there will be enough story and/or content to keep me going for at least 500 hours. Now I'm just disapointed. I'll keep playing for a bit longer, but ... I'm about to give up on this game. The game was over-hyped, it's just full of empty promises. There is one thing that can save this game (but it's not gonna happen) and that is - they have to release a modding software similar to CreationKit for Skyrim or Fallout4. Modders could save this game, but if all we get is something like modding for Witcher 3, then the game just dies.

An Early Access sold as final release

The game was simply NOT ready to be released. The story/characters and graphics are quite good actually and this is what has kept me hooked so far, but everything else falls apart: bugs, glitches, stupid AI, short lifepaths, boring game design, unfulfilled promises overall... you name it. I've had better luck (and more fun) playing Baldur's Gate III than this piece of disappointment. It can still be saved from this mess but it's going to need NMS scale patches to be honest. These are not "simple" bugs but even basic systems are broken or barebones. On a side note, whoever at CDPR tried driving in this game with KB&M and thought "it's okay", send that person my regards...
