What happened? (More to say but limit)

The game is average at best. This is a $40 game, not worth a penny more The gameplay is fun, I can't fault that. But I cannot recommend playing this game on anything other than Very Hard as the AI is just bad and broken sometimes that you need that extra challenge of dying quicker to make it fun The leveling up and acquiring new skills and perks is nice, especially using them The clothing is cool for the most part and funny at other times I can't fault it, just wish there were more layers to the clothing system The weapons are cool, and the different sort of skins that pop up for the same weapon is quite neat. The crafting is actually really nice, especially when I can usually make higher quality items than what I'm given or find, but finding schematics is a chore, especially for cooler clothing or stronger weapons The story is way too short for what it is. Could have been longer and cooler. The story alone doesn't really make the game shine. The side content is just so much more interesting as it gives me so much information and really brings out Johnny Silverhand in a much more interesting light than what's offered in the short 10-15 hour story It's still filled with bugs, constant pop in textures with some not popping in at all The driving is just annoying, it feels like I'm steering a truck every time I get in a car, not to mention driving in first person is so bad as the camera is way too low, and the field of view shrinks when I get into the car, so stupid. I also cannot remove the idiotic auto center when driving Speaking of camera, raise the damn camera height, the character camera is literally at the neck, and it's silly that everyone feels like they're taller than me because of that Let me adjust the weapon view model so it corresponds with the FOV. It's silly the weapons are so huge, and the scopes for most weapons go past my FOV Let me REBIND ALL THE KEYS, and let me UNBIND KEYS. UNBOUND KEYS should NOT work when the field is empty

Good but disappointing

As a big fan of The Witcher 3 I went into this game with high expectations, on top of the fact that CDPR has been calling this game 'the future of open world games'. For the most part the game has not met my expectations and the numerous bugs do not help matters. The open world is in no way bigger or better than most open world games, it looks great and the cyberpunk setting makes it a really cool city to be in. But in my opinion it's not a world you can live in due to the lack of immersion. Some examples include; the AI and especially the driving AI is quite poor, lack of animations even for eating, barely any useful shops and no reason to seek out food shops, no customisable vehicles, can't customise the main character after initial creation. On top of this there seem to be a lot of missing features that were shown or implied from the gameplay prior to release, for example i'm fairly sure the monowire is just a melee weapon in the game whereas it was supposed to double up as a netrunner hacking tool (I haven't personally tested this however). Lastly a majority of side activities or 'open world' activities just involve shooting a couple of gang members or a cyberpsycho then moving on which gets old quickly. I've played around 24 hours and completed the main story which i enjoyed. The first person view and the character models/animations during dialogue is great. I'm sure there are many more great side quests that I could find, but I simply do not find the world immersive enough to carry on. I plan to revisit the game next year after CDPR have hopefully patched out a lot of the bugs that plague this game.

Not Gold Status

All in all i could play the game through without major hickups. but that should not be the main concern of cdpr. even the latest trailers way oversold this game. the complete package feels like it needs at least one more year of development. not only to fix but also to add stuff to make the world feel real. (this makes me appreciate gta5 and rdr2) My hopes are high that cdpr will do something like hello games with no mans sky and consistently add and expand the game. at least to a point where there are things to do once the story is over and all the sidequests and hustles are completed.... pleeeease ;) So not bad but way not finished either... how "way" you ask? WAY WAY!

Decent but has potential to be great

The story is not bad but not great either. Most choices you picked during the story doesn't seem to have any weight or doesn't have an impact on the world. It just gives you additional options in the end. While I still enjoyed it, I'll probably end up forgetting most of the story in a few weeks. Then we get to the gameplay, which mostly affected my experience enjoying the game. 1) There's just a lot of minor bugs in the game. Though I haven't encounter any major bug. Minor bugs can be annoying sometimes. 2) Most boss fights are just plain boring. No mechanics just keep on shooting until they die. 3) No customization on your character/vehicles. There are times that you will get items that are so good that even if you upgrade your current item you're still forced to use it even if your character will look so bad in it. (Maybe this is the reason they didn't have 3rd person? So you can't see your ugly hahaha) 4) The controls. The controls are just horrible. Toggle crouch and skipping dialog are in the same key. Dash doesn't feel like a dash. You barelly move when you dash. You can't even remap the key bindings. But I am still looking forward for the future updates of this game. Hope they improve it in the following months. Because at the moment, It feels like an unfinished game.

Feels Incomplete

Bugs aside this game feels like a lot of content was cut and left unfinished. Cool factor by clothes gone. BDs gone. Romances are extremely basic. Relationships are also very basic. Cannot modify your pad. Cyberware, skills, items, and customization feels very lacking. No thermotic camo either. Characters reference events and talks that never happened. You are also supposed to be a badass but the game keeps introducing story events that make you feel powerless, even though you should have the skills to counter these events. All in all it feels like an incomplete cyberpunk GTA game. A lot of good ideas that were never finished or taken far enough.
