For all this time you waiting for that big game and in the disappointment. good idea lots of promises and in the end product full off bugs maybe support only for players ps5 if you lucky to get one now. game is not stable after some time just deside to switch her self off with no reason.
Bugs, bugs and more bugs.
From que enemy that stands on cross position when you look at him to mission conversations that just stops and nothing happens, so you have to re-load the game. But the most anoyng one to me is, definetively, the keyboard keys that I can't change. Everytime I change my crouch key (ctrl L) to alternate instead of pressing, when I die, my config goes away, so I have to config this again and again. Sometimes I change and the game simply ignores it and goes as if I havenn't made any. Punch key on TAB? No, can't do, because it's visor hotkey...
This really makes the game unplayable...
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't expecting a lot more. The game is not terrible, but it also isn't great.
The story line is the main saving grace of this title, that I'd give 4/5 stars. However, the rest of the game is medicore. The 'Living World' is like a 2D image, it lacks depth. Turn 180 degrees, then back again and the people/cars all change and respawm - breaking any immersion. However, apart from getting in your way they serve no purpose. The world is boring. Perhaps we're spoilt with titles like GTA V or RDR2, but in those games you could actually watch some pretty entertaining situations with NPCs, or provoke them into something cool. This just isn't there in this game, they are like gold fish, some might enjoy watching them move randomly - I find it utterly boring.
Cars handle in some weird way, I know it's set in 2077 but it seems friction laws change in the future. Trying to drive without bouncing of every thing in sit is certainly a required skill, but even when you get better it never feels 'Fun'. In GTA is was great to drift around a corner, or skim betweens cars. And when you messed up, some NPC might get out of this wrecked car and lay you out - don't expect this in CP77, they just drive on like nothing happened. Also, the sense of speed is just not there. Doing 50mph or 160mph, both feel slow and uninteresting.
Others have mentioned, but not being able to re-bind keys - common....The 'X' and 'C' keys should be further apart for the role they play in combat.
Gun play - its 'ok' - but there is nothing new here. It feels less refined than most 'shooter' games. The melee isn't anything amazing either - I'd almost say Mount and Blade feels more satifying swinging a sword.
Performance / Stability - Lets just say this game needs more time to 'bake'. I'm sure CDPR will get it fixed, but come back in 6-9 months if you don't want stupid shit (or crashes) to ruin your experience.
Cyberpunk 2077 is mostly "playable" on my system. I have a GTX 1070 with a i7-10700K. Others have written about the bugs and crashes and controls so I won't repeat them here.
Even on a mix of low to high settings the game does look fantastic.
I'm disappointed with the published official system requirements. They are very misleading.
So far I've put in 8.5 hours and the story is good and gunfights a blast. The stealth and hacking systems do need some work. I would suggest wait for the game to go on sale unless you are willing to make graphical sacrifices to get a steady frame rate.
I do hope CDPR can improve upon the hard work they have done with this title and the game will become more playable and enjoyable on PC.
I'm not going to talk about the bugs and crashes as I've been fortunate to not have that many on PC (maybe it's because I have an AMD card?)
Don't get this game if you think it's like the Witcher series - IT'S NOT. It's more like The Division 1&2, Borderlands, and The last 3 Assasins Creed (especially Odyssey). Here are some things that I didn't see pointed out in the other reviews :
1. DONT GET CRAFTING. It's useless. The number of materials you need is 6-10 larger than the lvl you will get. Ex: Upgrading a gun might cost 8-16 epic components (you need to dismantle 8-16 epic guns for them) and you will get a max of 6-15dmg. Crafting an epic item will always cost 1-10 LEGENDARY components (why the fuck do I need an epic item if I have 1-10 legendary ones already?)
2. Getting the ability to remove modifications from guns and clothes will cost you 14 points in crafting. How the fuck did they think anyone would get it? Making it 4-5 points would fix most of the issues with using crappy looking clothes with high stats because I can't remove the mods they have.
3. Melee combat and stealth has only ONE animation. Yes, you read that right. If you do a stealth kill you will get only one animation for the entire game; all 100+ hours of it, the same thing over and over again. Mantis Blades are even worse - if you do an instakill it will impale the NPC for 1-2 seconds (the animation). In this time ALL the other NPC's are free to shoot at you.
4. Hacking is useless: they have an AI car company but I need to find 4 numbers to hack his brain implant? GTFO
There was a rumor about a Dev playing 175+ hours and not finishing the game... I know why: he was still looking for those fuking legendary components to upgrade his "Wolf leather jacket and Black Unicorn" he got as a pre-order bonus while playing melee and looking at the same impale animation. for 45+ hours.
