Damn, I've been scammed
My game doesn't work past the character creator, it always crashes. Not even mad, just disappointed.

A little disappointed
Very anticipated game, preordered immediatly. Feels average, mediocre on everything. Design and art direction stands out. Gunplay and combat system are "mediocre" nothing revolutionary. I'll be waiting for quality improvements, new features, dlcs, official mod support in future updates. I'm a little disappointed, didn't meet the expectations i had, after all the delays and hype.

7 Years in development
7 years in development but: - double tap to dodge without posibility of remap. - double tap to put your weapond away, single tap to swap - police spawn when not looking, right behind you - visual glitches - broken AI - uninteresting gameplay - nothing groundbraking On the other hand: - visual stunning - superb story Overall, good game with forgetable mechanics. It is worth your time after 1 year of it's launch. It simply needs, you guessed it... more time!

Great Story But.......
My review overall: Graphics 4/5 star: (V and AI look great, very good job here) (Map settings look fantastic, nothing out there that comes close to the visuals) Sound 3/5 Star: (Char and AI voices are very well done) (Atmosphere sounds need some work, for example in GTA you can hear the odd super car in background) (Gun sounds are very simple and could do with some variation) Gameplay 2/5 Star: (Main story and side gigs are done very well) Thats about it for the gameplay, nothing much else to do, was highly dissapointed. All the below are my gripes with why i gave this a 3/5, and i hope im wrong but my guess is the below will be fixed with DLC (Hopefuly free) but my suspicions are that these features were pulled and will be re-implemented as DLC (very poor way of adding features, quite akin to how EA does stuff these days) The main story line is great and the additional Gig's add to the experience but.... I would like to do the following (I wish Roman would call me a few times): Interact with the city (Indoor activites like bowling, casino, pool, darts anything really) Outdoors people must still excersise in some way like golf or some other outdoor sports. Theres nothing in the way of or point in exploring the city, theres no random racing encounters (all tied to a side gig) no meet me at the bar for a drink and some hoes. No meet at casino or arcade, just nothing. Theres many other issues with this game but the biggest is the emptiness felt while playing.

A good game, far from great
To me, the most important aspects of games like these are the story and characters. Hence that will be my focus, and I will ignore the rest. SPOILER AHEAD. What an absolute let down. The protagonist has one single personality, and it doesn't matter what choices you make or what backstory you have. The protagonist will always be whiny and unsure. I played as Corpo as I was intrigued to climb on top of the food chain in an ice-cold but calculated manner. In reality, V sounds like he was an intern, and never embrace the Corpo culture. He is whiny and he will stay whiny throughout the whole game. If you chose Corpo dialogue alternatives, V will sound whiny or like an angry barbarian. I was somewhat okay with this since, in the hero's journey, the protagonist can start out pretty pathetic (Although the backstory implied that V should be past this point). The biggest disappointment though was after Act 2, when I thought things would start heating up. The game all of a sudden ended. The protagonist never got past the pathetic state. If you want to be Corpo you are destined to be a submissive loser. This ending felt so unbelievably rushed, and out of place and completely ruined the story. The AI beyond the black wall was a really interesting concept, but nothing came to fruition out of it. It was hinted at that this was a much bigger threat than Arasaka, but it seems like Project red kind of forgot about the AI threat (or got cut out because of deadlines hoho). ps. Playing as stealth is bugged.
