A very mediocre gaming experience

I'm reviewing this game without regard for bugs (of which I've had a couple, but nothing game breaking). Also I've not had any performance issues while running on everything "ultra" on 1080p. My set up: RTX 2080S, I9-9900K, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM 3000 Mhz, Nvme 970 Evo Plus Good: - Music in general is awesome and is up to CDPR's standards! - Visuals are good and I haven't seen to many glitches! - Main story is okay. - Very few loading screens. Neutral: - Controls are okay for me. Be it in combat or while driving...but I get used quickly to new stuff like this, so it might be just me. - Interaction with your surroundings. It's there, you can have oneliners from strangers or talk with shop keers...it's really nothing breathtaking but it exists. - Character progression has everything what you'd expect from an RPG, but nothing innovative. One might argue the perks are quite bland. - Combat offers a variety of approaches..but at least on difficulty "hard", it's enough to go for stealth kills, headshots and a couple of grenades. Hacks are more the cherry on top, but not necessary. Bad: - Abundance of loot, you'll find yourself just looking for the highest dps on weapons, finding blue, purple or orange loot doesn't feel that rewarding. What works in a fantasy setting, might feel off in a futuristic one. - Sidecontent - be it gigs or otherwise, feels extremely recycled and meaningless. The Ubisoft is strong in this one... - Keanu Reeves...please keep celebrities out of games. They're not only immersion breaking, in this case his voiceover just plainly sucks. Every line he utters seems like a 12 year trying to be cool. The UGLY: - Your choices don't really matter in most cases. This kills the "role playing" aspect in its very core. And just having different endings won't save the day. All in all, even taking bugs and performance issues completely out of the equation: it's simply not a really remarkable game and 3/5 stars are definitely the max I can give right now.

Nothing more but a scam

The game is not only completely broken; riddled with game-breaking bugs and performance issues; but it is also not even close to the game that has been advertised to us over the years. Where are the extrensive and rich RPG mechanics? Where are the thousands of NPCs with "hand crafted" routines that interact with the player and the world? Why does my hairstyle, which is dark, curly, shaved on the sides and tied up in a kot, turn into completely different hairstyles depending on the hat i use? This "game" feels more unfinished than many early access games and should absolutely not cost $60 in it's current state.

Yuck!

Great world, nice ideas. But the amount of mistakes and bugs... I dont think I have every played in such technicly bad game even from an indie studio... And I play games from 1996... And I love everyone game from cd project! That is especially hurtfull when it comes from the Witcher 3 makers, where you could basicly offer a milion buck to find a bug... Great ideas on the bosses, but half of them get stuck in their animations, flashback run away from him and sniper him down and he stands in place. Haha. Animation of landing get stuck, animation of ending swiming made me fly into the air, animation of getting out of the car made me fell under the map today. Loading a game after saving in a car often makes you fly up with the car and unable to get out. Its basicly crap with great story and very alive characters. Shame. And the main story line? After 10 hours I got to the point "care there is no returning" really? On the easiest lvl i would make it in 3? Sum it up. I am completly mad espiecially after so many push over at the premiere date.

Lifeless City.

The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is dead and not immersive as the devs said it would be. The game, in total, has so much potential. The graphics are very nice, yet not next gen, I have to remember that this game was initially going to be released for April last year, which next gen consoles weren't around then. (Graphics, 7/10). The missions are where this game shines. The character dialouges in these missions are great, although there are some dialogue bugs, I can see the level of of care and passion that was put in these missions. (Missions, 9/10). Now, as far as immersion goes, this game looses a lot of points for me here. Bugs aside, the world of Cyberpunk 2077 feels DEAD. Npcs rarely talk, and the promised npc routines throughout the city are barely noticed, infact, MISSED. The npcs I've seen would only walk, eat, barely talk, or crouch (when an on going fight was occuring). That's it. Never have I seen the npcs of Night City walk out of their car, intereact with their enviornment in an immeresed way, talk or interact with one another; only occasionally I would see them interact with one another while on a mission. Walking around Night City feels quiet and lifeless. (Immersion, 2/10). In conclusion, this game is not polished; cars disapearing, dialouge issues, dead city streets, and the list goes on and on. I am sure that CDPR will work on making the game feel more alive, but that won't come for a while now. For me, as of now, I am putting a hold on the game. I will wait until they fix these issues. As a consumer and a fan of CDPR, I will never pre-order any of their games again.

Definately not as advertised

RPGs are my favorite genre so I was incredibly excited for cyberpunk, I am fine with compromising systems like gunplay and driving to have a better rpg experence, I was told the game would be an rpg but ended up with a game like borderlands with a completely railroaded storyline with 1 choice (that im about 90% doesnt even matter after about 10 minutes anyways) that you can make in the first 10 hours! And then the most maddening part of another "faux choice" we are given is this point of the story. Without spoilers, you run into an issue and there is 2 people who can help you, you can inquire about both but so far ive only been given the option to look for one of them. When youre 10 hours in and fallout 4 is looking like the better rpg they messed up bad. Its basically just the division... bugs and all
