Crashfest 2077

i7-5960x, 2x GTX980, 32G ram, Winblows 7 ult. Latest 460.79 nvidia drivers; cleaned install. Generally crashes when trying to get to the main menu. Always crashes after character creator and trying to start scenario (nomad, streetkid, corpo); always. Looking at the various crash files generated, it's always related to "Message: Gpu Crash for unknown reasons" in the crash txt file. "GPU Crash Reason: Unknown" in the gpu crash file. When I've been able to get to the main menu, I've made sure all settings were LOW. I've looked at the settings json file to confirm. I've reinstalled game. Verified files. Used GoG_Galaxy to launch and default launcher in game directory. Rebooted numerous times. Updated winblows drivers. Checked online solutions. Checked in these threads to see if there were any answers. Tried single GPU/SLI; which is interesting since the nvidia profile appears to have a semi-SLI config and yet the game only utilizes a single card, typically about 80% at the character creation screen. No solution found and no combination of things guarantee I'll even get to the main menu. I am disgusted by this. CDPR has become another cash-grab, broken product releasing company and CP2077 stands as a testament of that. W3 wasn't this broken at release. I remember those days fondly. This product tried to be an all-in-one across multiple platforms and only succeeded in becoming the laughing stock against fans of CDPR. The people who supported your efforts and looked forward to another product like W3. We expected better. Not perfection; that's not realistic, but at least workable. Remember that to gain trust is a hard fought battle, its loss after this will make that climb insurmountable. CDPR had the opportunity to push the date further back to ensure a suitable release, even against the howling of those who had no patience. It would have been better. What you have done to your customers won't be forgotten or forgiven. You took money, remember?

Poorly Optimised & Feels Unfinished.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development for EIGHT years or even more; it had to be delayed THREE times for "playtesting, fixing & polishing" yet CD Projekt Red failed miserably to deliver the Cyberpunk experience they aimed to. The Official System Requirements for PC are FALSE, the game struggles to run on 1060s & 1080s. The performance is downright awful & the game is infested with BUGS (Most of them are Visual Bugs) this is why I decided not to play Cyberpunk because in its current state, it is absolutely not worth your time.

Spec recommendation is a lie

If you have the recommended specs, don't buy this. It'll run like poop on your hardware, people with better hardware are even facing issues.

It has huge potential but not ready yet

I played for a couple of hours so far and I have to say the main story so far is great (it's declining a bit though, but I have to wait to see if that continues or not) but I have a few problems with the game, that others experience too. 1.) Of course the elephant in the room - the bugs. I buy PC games on launch day for at least a decade and I never complained about bugs on Day 1, but when I talk about bugs I mean maybe a car glitching but here it's insane. NPCs being scared of you for no reason, cars spawning and de-spawning, exploding objects, Partners in main story glitching, duplicated items in cutscenes, fighting with 0 HP and not dying, AI of enemies not really good, enemies don't move or look dead but are still alive and so on... 2.) The Main Story is great and I feel I haven't even scratched it, but when I tried to take my time with the main story and try open world events and sidequests I got disappointed, they don't feel fleshed out like side quests in Witcher 3 for example, they just feel... empty? And the NCPD events also are repetitive and I wouldn't have a problem with them if the sidequests would be more unique. 3.) You can't change your character after the first character creation. Maybe it's just me but in a game that plays in the future with rippers I thought I actually can create my own unique character and change it completely. Also not even small things like hair, that should be the minimum. 4.) The clothing system is just weird. I understand that clothes are armor in this game, but why can't I put optical items on top of them, I look like shit all the time. 5.) Lack of explanation on how to upgrade weapons/armor (at least so far, so if that changes, I will take this back) and also on how the skills work. I see enemies teleporting and doing awesome movement and my only blade techniques so far are passive. I wish I would have waited and not buy this game so soon. My final note is that the main story is worth it, but the rest NOT at all.

I give it about 2.1 give me key rebinds

Lets get the stuff I like out of the way first. I adore the atmosphere of the game, when it isn't glitching walking Night City is fantastic. I like the shooting, it feels good to shoot and there aren't that many exclusively single player games that go for good feeling gunplay. I like the clothing options you have, however the problem is that you're generally going to always, ALWAYS be picking clothes for stats because upgrading items is frankly too expensive for the gains you get. I like the story so far. I hate the interface. in order to eat a burrito as best I can tell you need to go through three menus, and the backpack/selling inventory window is garbage, it lacks critical information and prioritizes showing boring icons that tell you almost nothing. You can't see secondary stats when upgrading an item like headshot bonus. You CANNOT REBIND KEYS BY DEFAULT. The minimap had a really hard time telling me how to get out of the apartment for the first time. The ai for citizens in the open world and cars is frankly pathetic, less than what you'd get in open world games almost ten years ago. The first time I alerted the cops they instantly spawned directly behind me and I evaded them by, of all things, seemingly glitching them out of existence by walking nearby them. The reason the cops spawned was because I was trying to take a stealthy approach to handling gang activity and the game just couldn't handle that at all because I'm pretty sure it was using an area based trigger to not have the cops care about you killing violent wanted gang members(the area trigger seemed to be about the size of an area rug). The biggest problems I can see with this game, what REALLY brings it down seems to be the direct implementation core features of the game that you have to interact with in an open world game are just bafflingly deficient. When the game works it can be a lot of fun I like the story a lot, but stepping outside of that story this feels like an early access game.
