Awesome...but to buggy

My first hours of CP where aweseme. The story is rad, characters are lovable, the world feels - with regard to the background - real. All in all just what I expected it to be. This were the pros, now to the cons: I waited for CDPR to fix most of known issues and hoped now 3 months after the game release it would be fully playable. What I now encountered was that there is still a main mission that is bugged and keeps me from progressing the story. The ncpd hustles are also bugged and many little bugs that just seem unnecessary like ladders which are not climbable from the water. 5 Stars for creative work, gameplay and story. But -3 Stars for the mess of bugs that are still there in 1.2 CDPR I expected more of you. :(

still not what was promised..

overall the campaing was great, side missions feel all the same. The world of night city still feels dead, npcs are dumb and boring. I hate to say that I wish this game was like GTAV but yes the could have given us a bertter world that feels alive. I got done with the main sttoy and did alot of sime missions, but game just doesnt live up to the hype they gave us before in the trailers from before release. patch 2. made game more smooth but stilll feels dead. i have played GTAV on three different platforms sicne it came out and i still find it fun to just play around with the better cop system that cdpr still cant get right. no real chase, just spawn and shoot. hopefully one day cdpr can give us the real game that they were working on before the whole keoano thing changed everything.

It's WAY better than when it released.

The game over the years has improved GREATLY from when it released. I love the feel of the city and the look of everything is phenomenal. The gunplay is snappy and the various gun types will allow you to play in various styles so that's a plus. The swordplay is pretty fun and it makes for some interesting kills. Overall, the story is pretty interesting and the bits of lore and side stories you will encounter will be memorable. Several missions made me sit and think about what I just did/saw and that's fantastic (never skip the Sinnerman questline). So the city looks beautiful, graphics are nice, gameplay feels crisp and the story keeps you going. We're onto a good start. Now we get onto the problems. The first thing I noticed that I disliked and after hundreds of hours I still hate it: driving. The driving in this game just feels atrocious. The cars have so much torque and zero handling so you try to make a simple turn and you do a 180. You want to be able to drive without feeling like you're sliding on ice? Go very slowly. I actually prefer a truck I got (hate the look), but it just seems to drive and handle better. For a game where exploring the world should be insanely good fun (just driving around the city finding baddies to down), but the terrible driving really cuts that short for me so I try to drive as little as possible in the game. I like upgrading my character because some of the skills are so incredibly fun to use, but there are so many that just feel absolutely lackluster. Spend 3 skill points to get +6% damage with rifles and SMGs from behind cover? Really? Or spend 5 skill points to get +10% grenade damage (and a separate skill that gives all grenades +10 damage (enemies have thousands of HP so....) So some of the skills just feel utterly tedious and not even worth looking at. Story decisions.... SO MANY DECISIONS in this game ARE MADE FOR YOU. It's such a bummer that you cannot deviate from their chosen outcome and it makes for such a disappointment

Failed redemption

Talk about redemption, more like damnation, this game shouldn't have to be "fixed" 3 years after its release, but most importantly you shouldn't, as someone who trusted CDP since day one, still experience issues, bugs and crashes as badly as day one on a game you bought 3 years ago. The game runs fine, and what hurts is that it is actually a very cool game, the quests are cool and so is the cyberpunk environment, but it doesn't excuse the rest The 2.0 update is a disaster, the overhaul of the skills and assets is a catastrophy, breaking the mere possibility to have a build, like a RPG should propose. This game is a farce, the updates are blows in the wind, to appeal to a larger audience by nerfing the few things that made the core of the game good. Oh and the game keeps crashing, randomly, all the time, could be 10 mins after juming in, could be 10 hours, but it crashes, with no reason. I rarely see this level of poor maintenance from a dev team. Now that is a shame. We used to have faith in CDProjekt, thinking they would avoid the mistakes and deceivings perpetraded by other game studios for years now, but slowly but surely, they're just showing they're not that different from them after all. I made the mistake to buy your DLC from you, when other free alternatives were offered to me to play it, thinking despite all, this major update paired with the DLC was your redemption, that you got your bearings straight and listened to us. What a mistake. This is it for me.

Cyberpunk redemption

Cyberpunk is my favorite game ever. I am aware and I agree when people say this game is no perfect. It has many issues such as bugs (some survived the patches) and some game desing issues that blocks it from reaching the whole potential Cyberpunk has. I've played this game a lot, first on playstation 4, then 5 and finally on PC. I loved this game from the start and even more now with the 2.0 update that really improved the progression and removed most bugs. The launch was a mess, true, but the redemption is even better than I would've imagine. New content, new upgrades, better performance, less bugs, the wonderfull DLC. Those are all the things that make 2.0 what Cyberpunk should've been in the first place. There's still pop-in, physics bugs, the driving still sucks, but it's all much better than it was. But to me, Cyberpunk is not my favorite game because of it's mechanics. Cyberpunk really shines when it comes to it's world building, narrative, dialogues and art direction. I've never more believed in a fictionnal world than this one. You feel the weight of corporations on the citizens, their power. The parallels with our world are more than present and it made me question our whole society. I even cried the first time I finished the game because of how this it affected me, I couldn't stop thinking about for a week and made me question my whole life. The game is beautiful, with a unique art direction that will take many years before other games can reach is. Everything in this game is just so coherent. From the music to the ads to the narrative to the smallest details such as the word Eddies. All just fits togheter so well and makes this world and this game so believable and relatable. I want to fnisht by saying that as a fellow dev, I thank all of CD Projekt devs for all the love and passion you gave to this game, this is uncommon these days and I hope management can learn from its mistakes and make sure you have the best experience ever making the next one.
