So much amateur work...

first let me say, basically the game is awesome..or could be, but there is so much silly basic sh.. that ruins it. it starts with the lesser flaw of not being able to pick up items around 25% of the time in the city and almost nothing out in the badlands, maybe becasause the dried vegetation blocks the engine. what really ruins it everytime is that apparently the devs wanted to make this game playable on a 1991 game boy and its 2 buttons. here's a perk to immediatly pick up a body after a takedown..PSYCHE! we didn'T lock that key for the situation so when you do it, you also activate your cyberware like berzerk because we only use so few buttons in this game and don't allow you to change them becasue we program like it's 1999. same for c to crouch AND skip dialoge. so sometimes you have the option to get discovered and shot during a dialoge or fast skip and miss it so you can crouch.... next similar annoying sh*t...can'T map a key to holster your gun. double tap alt. just in 90% of the time that just switches your weapon.... this game should get a reward for the highest difference between potential and how much of it is ruined by 20 year old programming

Shallow as a Puddle

I want to like Cyberpunk 2077. I REALLY want to like it. The graphics are gorgeous, but past that, there's nothing here to see folks. A middling shooter, with a solid story. A decade of marketing sold this game as THE rpg of 2020, and in an 11th hour shift, its suddenly billed as an action/adventure title. It makes you wonder where all that developement time went. Cars without even basic AI, the inability to even change your HAIRCUT in a world that revolves around body modification, the crouch key and skip dialog key sharing a binding? If the only problem this game had was the bugs (of which there is a plethora), I could give this a pass, but the core of this game is hollow. Its pretty. Thats it.

Disappointing

Story is too short and has bad pacing; Side content is generic and repetitive; Skill system is boring and unbalanced, a lot of perks are broken and do nothing; Gunplay is clunky; Barely any decent music on the radio stations; Too many bugs; The list goes on and on.

Phantom Liberty has DRM

The game force crashes you on Linux unless you use Galaxy with Wine or another project called Comet to allow the DRM to function...

Depressingly Underwhelming

I'm rating this game poorly because it feels unfinished and is a baffling step backward in terms of quality from CDPR's last big game. In Witcher 3, even though Geralt wasn't my own character, I felt far more invested and had much more control over his development, story, and the fate of his world. Cyberpunk 2077 starts by building up to you starting from scratch on the mean streets of Night City. However, after a brief intro, suddenly it cuts to a montage, telling you that you did a bunch of cool stuff and now know all the cool people and are pretty cool yourself. I've played a lot of games, but this moment gave me an intense physical reaction I've never experienced while gaming before- a drop in my stomach like, "uh oh, this won't at all be what I've been led to expect this is going to be." After the montage, people talk to you like they know you and are your friend but I had no idea how I was supposed to know them or what my relationship with them was supposed to be. It was confusing and disorienting. Playing on Hard, I enjoyed picking skills and feeling overpowered as I cleared icons off the map, but I started feeling bored after 30 hours (I maxed out my level and street cred in about half that). Despite people everywhere, the world feels empty and lonely. Your character and Silverhand are rude and annoying, and I didn't care to see how the story would resolve. I felt no need to continue; this is an experience you can have with any dumb AAA open-world game. I uninstalled Cyberpunk 2077 to make space for other games I actually wanted to play, and don't have any regrets about it, which is maybe the saddest part about this whole thing for me. I'll definitely reinstall and play the heck out of this game if it's ever finished, but it seems CDPR feels like this is the blockbuster they told us it would be, so this might just be it. I'm glad some folks have had fun, but unless there are big changes, Cyberpunk 2077 will remain a shallow, irredeemable disaster to me.
