no complaints
I am 50 hours in now, and other than a few graphics glitches that were solved by updating my drivers, and one door that wouldn't open in a mission, I have not experienced any of the "gamebreaking" bugs that so many people are screeching about. It grinds on the maximum resolution, but wind it down a couple of notches to ultra and it buzzes along fine for me, my pc is decent but not cutting edge, so I would expect that. I will say though that the main storyline is far too short, but there is plenty more to do and I can see many replays anyway, to try and make things play out differently. Brilliant game, love it.

Get over it
Yeah, yeah, games' buggy, weird controls, broken stealth, etc. Crashed multiple times, weird ass glitches, broken colliders which boost me up to the stratosphere, even crashed the entire graphics driver and had to do a hard reset because can't see a damn thing from the graphical artifacts. Been there. In the end, who cares really? Game's rushed. Though it ain't really their fault, people want it now asap. Yet when it finally arrived, everyone's cranky about how buggy the game is and how unplayable it is on console. Already forgetting the part where people begged to just release the damn thing. Though, knowing all of that. I'd say, it is still a good game. They clearly prioritize the important aspect of the game, screw the minute open world details more to the story and quests, engaging characters, etc. Engine bugs and kinks can be ironed out later. In the current state, it could be mitigated by installing it to an SSD or enabling "Slow HDD mode" in the settings. Good cyberpunk content is surprisingly rare, probably because it is reality today. While this game doesn't really evolve the genre, it's a really good entry in the bunch. Most of the people in the comments are just posers who don't even know a damn thing about the genre, only here for the hype, the drama and "be cool". Nobody actually play games anymore, just want to be "in the loop" and praise/hate it like some sort of celebrity scandal. All I'm worried about is one thing: future support for the game. Will the engine bugs and kinks be fixed? Hopefully, they're most likely doing it know since lawsuits are up their asses. More content? DLCs? Who knows. It doesn't even have NG+ right now. Mods? No clue, doesn't seem like they want to. Blocked off dev console and the community is on binary patching. I'm hoping they at least give it to the community, could make the game survive longer, like Skyrim. Even if in the end, it'll be in a very niche community.

Worth the wait
Okay, I know you special snowflakes feel entitled to complain about a great game and signal its flaws. I do agree that bugs and other inconsistencies do tend to be annoying. However, people seem to forget that the Witcher 3, Skyrim, and so on were also plagued by bugs and annoyances during their first year. Only later through refinement could we enjoy the masterpieces these games are. Cyberpunk is the same, the potential is great and is being acted upon. The open world is alive, every nook and cranny offers something. The character design and progression system are superb. Rarely do I feel encased into a a specific way of playing. We can not deny that Cyberpunk takes a page out of the book of Shadowrun and the father of the cyberpunk-genre, William Gibson. However, where Shadowrun tends to satisfy hardcore gamers, Cyberpunk entices us with a 'create your own adventure' and 'live on this world the way you see fit'. I am confident that the refinement which made Witcher 3 one of the best games of its time, will also be applied to this game. Congratulations CD Projekt and thank you for the hard work, long weekends and tolerating an insufferable fan-base.

Overhyped by far. Still a good game.
After 50 hours I completed one of the endings of the game. Did I enjoy it? Yes siree, I did. Is it in the top ten best games I've played? Absolutely not. The main issue I got with the game is that it seems that it tries too hard to be everything at the same time. We have crafting. We have RPG mechanics. We have stealth. We also have, to a certain extent, looter shooter parts. What this means is that it lacks focus. I spent the vast majority of the game with stealth which proved to be an effective way of completing missions. The issue I had was that while there were certain locations that were designed to allow a stealth approach the vast majority of it just a bunch of cover that you can hide behind and the occasional electronic device which you hack to distract enemies. Deus Ex or Dishonoured this is not. Then we have crafting which I never used because the game is so saturated with Unique, Legendary and Epic loot that the things you create seem underwhelming. The RPG mechanics are also underwhelming with many paths completely pointless to the game. The open-world, while very detailed and graphically stunning, feels empty in comparison to games like GTA and Witcher 3. The only thing to do is repeat the same missions over and over again in order to get money to buy more stuff. “But wait, there’s a mistake!” I hear you cry “Why are you giving it 5 stars? You’ve just roasted the entire thing!” The reason is quite simple. This is a game that is a victim of it’s own ambition and hype. While the open world is boring, at least it isn’t generic: Japantown is quite a bit different than Pacifica for instance. You could drive to each area and just walk around even if there’s not much to do. While there are RPG paths that are meaningless, at least it can give you options for another playthrough. The plot, as mentioned in other reviews, is just one big downer. Flawed masterpiece? Hardly, but ignore the hype and you may just find something beautiful within it.
