Not an RPG and not an action game
I wish if were better. I think the AI and gameplay are very weak. You get the same guns the whole game with minor variations in stats. Skill trees are either broken or op. Story choices dont matter at all really. The world feels dead. It is a beautiful game however. Prob one of the prettiest I've played since the witcher. Bugs and glitches galore. No good updates in almost a year for all of the millions they've made is really the punch in the gut for me on this one.

Utter trash abandonware. Don't Bother.
All the money and time went to filing Reeves for forced linear story line in a supposed open world. That story is unskippable and utterly terrible; as if netflix wrote it & cancelled it. The character writing is shallow and half-baked and just crammed down your throat in completely unavoidable ways. Oh, and you can't interact with *ANYONE* other than these awfully scripted NPCs; the rest are cardboard cut-outs, walking around. Even merchants have like a single "tag-line" with no fucking followup or story or anything; you don't even exit the conversation...you just like...kinda walk away like an uninterested douche...(you will be uninterested anyway). Oh and the items to buy...well...pretty but useless; you never see you character except in some uncanny-valley-homunculus mirror reflection, doing it's best Dexter impression. All of the food has the exact same buff, which is completely useless, so don't even bother. All alcohol debuffs exactly the same, so again...don't bother. Where are the drugs? Wading through rooms of diced-up hookers: OK. 😁 Drugs: BAD. 😡 Seriously: WTF. Crafting involves zero immersion: You just go to a menu at any time and just magically poop out weapons and armor. Combat: Stealth is so unbelievably useless, and combat so horrendously unbalanced, you are just going to get decent armor and decent slicey-dicey weapon and just run around cutting off heads for the fastest approach just to grind through yet anther identical mission...because they are all exactly the same...every last one. Driving: You won't. It's just that bad. Your choices don't matter, starting choice doesn't matter; you are mashed through the exact same story experience / grind, no matter what. Buildings are just cardboard facade. There's nothing to do in this "open-world", no buildings to go in, no people to talk to...it's video game purgatory. Just don't waste your money, like ever.

After patch I tried again.
When I seen the new patch that just came out. I was like ok lets try Cyberpunk again. There still a lot of bugs like items stuck into the wall above my head, random npcs vibrating, and crashes. I've done reinstalls an repairs to the game. Until one morning it crashed so hard that it punk my gpu drivers were I had to go into safemode to uninstall and reinstall the drivers. After a few hours trying to get that fixed I jumped back into the game. I do really like the changes it is a start down the right path. An CPR you are hearing the request and needs for the game. So far I do enjoy the story line it had me hooked, when I replay a new charater Jackie's story always pulls on my heartstrings. After struggling through the game I gave up when I was on the quest Gimme Danger where you scan the yard with Goro Takemura and it glitched that I couldn't scan the area. I've uninstalled the game and will wait for the next ten / twenty patches or wait a couple of years. I cannot recommend Cyberpunk 2077. Unless you get it on a really good sale or if they have a few hour demo on PC .

Unacceptable Performance
First, the game crashed 3 times before I manage to run it with some peasant magic. I have the recommended requirements with all the drivers updated and the game still has performance issues. The difference in terms of FPS in all settings are minimum. Even on low the game is not smooth. Forget about the bugs, I can tolerate some bugs in a complex open world game but the performance issues are F...g unacceptable. 8 years of development and we can't run the game smooth on low settings in 1080p...It's obvious that the game needed more time but when you have impatient fanboys rushing you, this is what you get. My advice is to wait at least a month for those performance issues to be fixed.
