Beautiful game with good immersion

I am writing this review because I am fed up by people writing bullshit pointing out games like GTA V have some different features. Who cares grenades don't make a splash when thrown in water. Who cares that cars just stay in place when you block them. This doesn't have anything to do with game being good. It is apparent there was a huge amount of work put into this game. The quests are interesting often with unexpected outcomes. The immersion is nice and I like playing the game very much. For me personally so much more interesting than DeusEx to which it is also compared. Kudos to the authors, you made a great job. Please don't get discouraged and keep up good work. Cyberpunk will definitely be a gem very close to Witcher 3 one day.

GTA meets Deus Ex and System Shock

I'm a little biased here considering my rating, gameplay, bugs, glitches and so on. I gave five stars for various reasons although objectively this game don't deserve it (three or four stars, which again does not mean the game is bad) from previous (I bought it when 1.06 got released) or current state. Anyway, there is no need to min-max your attributes (character) especially if you want to experience more various dialogues depending on your atributes (body, intelligence, tech, reflx, cool) or if you want to solve quests without conflicts or different ways. With this in mind, some quests need some of your attributes at least 4, some 6, 10, I did not get to far away in game to see if some of attributes need higher number. Netrunner is like wizard/sorcerer class in FRPs, weak at beginning and OP after. Netrunner build (high Intelligence with legendary OS cyberdeck like Rippler mk4 or Netrunner mk5) is OP after some time, even with level 20 something, not that it is bad, but it was grinding for me at beginning and not fun when I saw various weapons with crafting options and cyberdecks and there are not so various quickhacks like there is weapons. I started with jack-of-all-trades build with emphasis on intelligence (hacking), technology (crafting and engineering (powerful tech weapons), plus stealth (cool) and rest spending on body (breaking doors which can't be opened with tech ability and for some dialogue options for solving quests or having unique dialogues) and reflexes (riffles, pistols) then tried min-max (int, tech, cool) Netrunner but got bored with it after act 2 especially with constant tab-ing and playing hacking mini-game and choosing quickhack to hack enemy. Point is, you have flexibility in build and if you have pure hacker (netrunner) build you can still make damage with weapons even if you don't spend points in coresponding perk tree. And there are upgrades for your weapon and your abilities which could aleviate lack of attributes or perks.

A good game, not as flawed as people say

Ok, so first going onto record saying this is NOT a perfect game. It's got a lot of little finicky things and tons and tons of bugs that are being fixed to this day. However, one issue is people are hating on this game for the wrong reasons. Everyone bashes this game, but when Bethesda comes out with a rushed and buggy game, the responce is "Oh Bethesda, you silly goose you! Now let us fix it ourselves, you cheeky kids! Hahaha!" But when this came out, people went the opposite. I love this game. I've sunk hours into it. The plot is great, with TONS of choices, and even the ending has at least 7 different combinations, more if you factor romantic partners. The graphics, while glitchy, look good to me, could be more polished, but still good. And most of the actual non-gig side missions are fun and sometimes gut-wrentching. The romance scenes in particular are wonderful, especially Judy's. Give it a try and don't listen to the people jumping on the hate wagon, or rating it 1 star because the controls aren't as customizable as they want (Btw... they are. I've re-mapped most of my controls).

Awesome Game!

This game is very good! It still has some technical weaknesses (for example, traffic display in the distance or glitches). Overall, it's still a masterpiece in my opinion. I'm looking forward to upcoming DLC and optimizations. Big compliments to the development team. Keep it up!

One of my all-time favourites

I don't know where to start, I just fell in love with the game since day one. Yes, I decided to ignore the pre-launch buzz to try to stay unbiased by the hype created (ME:A has taught me well, it seems). Yes, there were (and still are) bugs and glitches but over my 400 hours spent ingame I had to reload once (one of the cyberpsychos didn't spawn, reload fixed it), the rest were/are mostly visual and I can live with that. Love the visuals, both the creation and the execution, from City Centre skyscrapers to shaby huts in the Badlands. Love the voice acting, Cherami Leigh simply owns everyone as FemV, all the different accents and dialects - VDB Kreole, Valentinos' spanglish, Takemura's coarse japanese accent and all the others make Keanu look a bit weak in comparison. I can just walk around Night City admiring the views and listening to NPCs talking. And look for Nibbles once I'm back home. Some of the quests are among the best I've ever encountered (Sinnerman, the Hunt to name but a few). Katana + Sandevistan? Big yes. Crouching, stealthy hacker? Why not, make your own way. Cons? I think the prologue is too short, there should be a few quests and a bit of a story between the prologue and Sandra Dorsett gig - I want to know Jackie better, not just be tossed into the friendship by the devs. Also, in a way (but it seems it's typical for CDPR - cue the Witcher 3) some of the quest (main storyline included) outcomes are defined by earlier dialogues (looking at you, Beast in Me). I should probably get used to it tho. Oh, and all the menus and loading screens are in 16:9 ratio, luckily the game itself runs well in 21:9. Overall, totally worth my time and money. Upgrading to 3070 Ti didn't hurt either, it's gorgeous with most of the eyecandy turned on. Can't stop diggin' Night City. Oh, last but not least - the quest names make a nice playlist ;)
