They can patch the performance of this game until the end of time, but no patch will make it anything more than a repetitive, by-the-numbers piece of edgelord fan-fiction that dodges all the satire and social commentary of its source-material until its greatest achievement is in how forgettable it is to play.
Imagine what else could have been done with the money they spent on this utterly unremarkable product.
This is essentially go to point A shoot people talk to a charachter who sends you to point B shoot more people. The crowds are just terrible, I watched an NPC walk up and down on an endless loop. The police jobs are done terrible, you clear the danger and the cops are still hiding in the same spot. And the car handling is atrocious. Please dont buy this game at full price.
A grand projectthat trips on itself by its own faults, is like the meme of the kid in the bike that himself puts a pipe on the weels and falls. Cyberpunk world is an interesting world, somewhat like blade runner-ish but set in a world that the future its owned by private corportations and the government, well, they are on their bare bones but with almost no flying cars that you can drive in which i dont care. At the start you begin in a semi linear story and is closed in to a section of the city, once you finish that part you will see the entire city and outskirts open up and we have the end in which it somewhat branches out depending on how you want the story to end.
The main story is ok, some of the characters are neat and is fun to see Keanu in its rebel rock terrorist side in action, plus you get to do many things in different areas with different protagonists in which will give you plenty to do, but heres a flaw, once the world open, it tends to spread a little bit too thin, in which at least 2/3 of the other quests are fine while others arent even worth it. Plus dialogue in some cases are above average in which doesnt bring any impact or some events that were awesome specially one that i had to attack a rogue cybergirl that brought some sense of horror and weirdness
Music presentation is good in its way but not my type in which i just turned off the radio and the music for the combat... im split since i ended up lowering the volume because repeating the same theme over and over became annoying.
Mechanics and presentation, controls are not the bext in pc and didnt had a better flow, i finished the game on patch 1.5.2 if im not mistaken... there were a lot of improvements but still carrying in the computre a new CPU and a good GPU RTX card, there were still bugs and for the engine to be able to carry the game, they cut a lot , even there places that there were no one in it. Still police was broken and missing a lot after launch.
Lies, greed, and deception. Words that could be used to describe the corporate world within CD Projekt Red's new game, Cyberpunk 2077. Nobody could've guessed that in the real world, the corporate anti-hero of the gaming industry would fall to the same wickedness that their lead man, Johnny Silverhand, so fervently detests.
The game features a great atmosphere in a dense and stunnning city. Continuous bugs will pull you out of immersion. Most of them are funny, others will force you to reload the game.
So, in two hours, quest characters stuck themselves in wall or teleported. Random objets exploded around. Characters lips didn't move while they were talking. Ballgagged characters could talk. Objets like phones or guns suddenly disapeared from characters while they were still performing animations. I could see pedestrians walking while peeing.
Concerning PC controls, the game feels like a bad 2000 console port. You can't assign actions properly to the keys, really strange choices like double tap on keyboard to dodge or crouch to speek dialogues.
AI is verry basic.
To conclude, if you do not consider pricing or marketing practices or technical problems, this game is probably one of the best in a long time.
