Best story focused RPG I have played

I don't usually post reviews on stores but this is one of the classic instances of the negative people being more vocal than the people that liked the game. So here I'm. The game has bugs and glitches... there is no doubt about that. But in my 40 hours of playing I haven't encountered a single crash or bug that would stop my progress. The story is one of the best I have ever experienced and the gameplay is fun and lets you play your character in any way you like. I never spent 40 hours in game in such a short time and in my opinion - just that means something. If you are looking for a giant sandbox shooting range like GTA, you probably won't find it here. But if you are looking for an amazing story RPG where your choices matter and it's only up to you how your character and story evolves. Then Cyberpunk 2077 is the best place to be. Great job CDPR, I'm looking forward to my another playtrough (which I almost never do). Now all you need to do is fix the bugs and I can recomend the game to anyone. Hang in there devs and I wish you good luck if you are reading this :) Can't wait to see what will come next from you.

Adventure in William Gibson-esque world

The game itself is truly stunning, the visuals and the general atmosphere of the game is on point. The action can take a little while to warm up to but when you do it feels fun and allows for some chaos. That being said it also allows for different types of play, hacking stealth etc. Which is always a fun take. I think it's important here to highlight that the game does still have bugs. That being said, i can't name a single game in the past four years that hasn't come out and had bugs like this. This doesn't excuse the fact that there are bugs here and they need fixing. Software development takes time though and I can only imagine the staff are already starting to burn out slightly. A lot of the criticism seems to be centered around either bugs or "not living up the the hype" the latter was always going to be an issue. The Witcher 3 was a masterpiece (again not without its own bugs and problems) so we obviously expected something of this scale in a different universe. I don't think that it is fair to make this comparison personally. The game itself is a gem and had it been released by a different studio, I wonder if it would have gotten the same criticism. TL:DR - The game is visually fantastic and a lot of fun but it is a video game. Not a world you're going to be living in. Once you come to terms with it being just that, it is probably one of the funnest games i have had the privilege to play.

Amazing Vision, Buggy, Needs work

I had preordered the game and I was never on the hype train because I like to keep expectations low so I'm never disappointed. MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS BELOW Good: -Amazing characters you'll fall in love with, lose, and support just like life -Story is so amazing that's logical and reasonable, but I feel like there's an ideal route/ending to get. I feel like if you do the CORP ending, it should feel more impactful. -Love the gunplay when it's not lagging. Although I would like a more optimized wheel layout along with throwables being able to stack and binded to a hotkey -Lots of pop culture easter eggs! -It's got passion and love in the world. Nothing compares to driving through night city with shootouts on every block listening to the radio. SPOILER: The CORPO (devil ending) should have much more power, because if you're sacrificing one's own dreams and happiness to achieve something in the end. That ruthless pragmatism should impact the lives of night city to make it according to V's own choices. Bad: -Lots of bugs -Endings should be equivalent in terms of impact. There seems to be an ideal route to play as when I feel like if you're giving up things such as happiness and love, that ruthless pragmitism should take you somewhere higher.
