Netrunner - tech - stealth - Review
A netrunner focuses on intelligence, tech and cool(stealth) and their cyberware(implants) on maximum netrunning (hacking) efficiency! First of all: you can, if you want to, only attack via netrunning and take out any target thru lethal by frying their brains using malware or non-lethal means which will drop them stunned. On top of that there are plenty of options to control and debuff your enemies directly and indirectly, also to mass controll/debuff groups of enemies via hacks. You can interact with anything in your surroundings that would be remotely connected to the net and use that as a distraction or as a means to kill. You can hack your targets remotely thru the camera systems. Be sure tho to have something in your quickhacks arsenal to deal with enemy netrunners that will try to do the same to you >:) This game is everything a fan of the original DeusEx, Bladerunner, obviously the RPG and especially Masamune Shirow and Kenji Kamiyama could wish for! The atmosphere is incredible. The dialogues are a bit on the short side for when your character is speaking, but overall it is on par with witcher 3, for me even a little bit better. And that is thanks to going first person - it all happens right there in your face. You are almost never stuck in conversations, allowing you to act and after you had them you can stick around for sometimes to unlock further conversations with that person - so fight the urge to always run to the next questpoint! The city is incredibly alive and features soo many sidequests that are also very fun and sometimes go deep! Dont expect the most polished game as of right now, there are visual bugs, but one that is superb in the most important aspects: gameplay, tons of options and story! Worth every penny. Used the 10k from Dex on my new 15k 4slot cyberdeck, went to militech, got another 10k, removed the malware on the cred chip, saved both, hacked the mechs and now I am friends with both ;->
