Cybperpunk is Post Mod Dystopian Art
I honestly wish that CD Project had released Cybperpunk 2077 in the state it is in now - the community loved them and would have given them the extra 2 years they needed. They could have been honest with us - because if you act with integrity then the community will give you the benefit of the doubt. The fact is that the world they created is a hauntingly beautiful depiction of where our world could actually be headed. It's a living dystopian nightmare writ large for society to judge and experience. The gameplay elements are much improved since release, with better NPC response, smoother play and better optimization. I love that exploration is so heavily rewarded in this game - poke around and yea shall find - from hidden quests, to odd items, to unique clothing, weapons, armor, cars and stories. Granted I don't know that I would classify the game as an RPG entirely, because while story choices matter to some degree they are also somewhat binary, and occasionally trinary. However, it is an incredible open world experience. one I look forward to keeping on the old compy and returnign to not just for the DLC but to explore wierd areas, and hopefully figure out how to get into that nuclear power plant I found in the badlands. Can haz core meltdown? Anyway, balance in the game is a bit better, but it still needs some work. At 20 intelligence and the Tetratronic Rippler Mk4 you can chain cast Short Circuit and kill everyone within seconds. I am on very hard difficulty. I'd like to see some dynamic scaling if possible. I am giving this 5 stars because it's a ork of Art and because other reviews have been more than a little unfair. I think they feel betrayed. Anyway - I hope more people come back to this game.
