An incredible experience

I haven't been as emotionally invested in characters or left with such a feeling of emptiness after a games ending since Mass Effect 3. The story and writing in this game is exceptional. The characters and the interactions you have with them feel real and immersive and are up there with BioWare quality. All characters' story arcs are a treat to play through and leave you wanting more. The city is absolutely mind-blowing. 100% the most immersive city I have ever seen in a video game, from the bustling streets filled with crowds to the towering skyscrapers that sprawl out above and around you. The sense of verticality you get from this game is incredible. Multiple moments during my playthrough had me just stop and stare in awe at the surroundings and the cities dazzling neon lights, glistening roads with reflections, the devs have put together a spectacle with the visual design and presentation of Night City. The gameplay was different from what I was expecting, but I really like it. I played as a stealthy netrunner and had a blast hacking my way through all of the numerous encounters and gigs that the game offers you. The AI in this game is a little rough round the edges at times (mainly the police teleporting and pedestrians reactions). The traffic distance LOD could use improvement (2d car sprites are not nice to see). There are plenty more things that could use improvements here but I’m not going to list them all. I have confidence that CDPR will continue to work on this game and improve the experience with time. Despite its faults, I think this is an incredible game. Yes it could have been more. Yes it was likely rushed in its final months and content was cut left and right. But there are some damn good elements in it that truely captivate me and keep pulling me back in. I’ve already got a second playthrough lined up and I no doubt this will be a game that I keep coming back to for future playthroughs in the years to come.

A gem from my point of view

I absolutely love how CD Projekt tells stories and create worlds. Are the stories in CP77 as mamorabel as in Witcher 3, no they are not but they are still extremply enjoing. Night City is also a place, even if a bit lifeless when it comes to interaction, where you can see how much love they put into this game. For me its five stars but i have to admit that i just had 3 minor bugs where i needed to reload.

Great game/story - Polishing needed!

Yeah, the chosen lifepath does not really matter and is mostly just dialogue flavor. There are a lot of things missing I'd really like to see: 3rd Person choice (yeah I know, but still, i'd really like it), more world interaction, even if on a shallow level (it's already good in that regard, but there is still room for alot of improvement), car customization etc... The story is awesome and I have no problem forming a bond with the various characters. The game is immersive and looks great (On a PC. With 4k. With a 3080.) But there are major problems, which I would really like to overlook but are sometimes just pretty huge. Still 4/5 stars for a great story game with major need for bugfixing and performance improvements. For the performance needs, it just doesn't look good enough - still looks great, just uses too much performance for what it looks like. And fix the bloody Antialiasing with it's forced TAA - just isn't nessecary, especially not on 4k, and looks blurry af sometimes. If they are going to fix one bug at a time in a timely manner and add a few (once announced) features, it's gonna to be great - even more than it is at the moment.

Good but shorten story

NO SPOILERS. The start and the ending of the main story are really good and well done. The middle part not so. The acting and story delivery is good but there is some issues with some main side character voice lines, like Panam, Johnny, Judy etc. Their voice tone change a lot and unexpected compared to previous sentence or topic. One line they are angry at you then they sweet talk you. This is probably because they have made voice lines for your different relationships with these characters, but they have not recorded all lines so they have lines were the tone of their voice does not match the lines they change based on the relationship you have with them. I feel like there was a lot of stuff cut out of main story and sidemissions. There should have been more main and side mission to interact with maelstrom, the cp "vagos", the pacifica people, Alt, etc. You have almost no relation ships with most of the "gangs" in the night city, like one mission with them. At middle parts of the story this is pretty obvious. A lot of unlockable skills and modifications to gear are boring % based upgrades, there is not much unique or different new skills. Also all stealth kills are with hand even if you have melee weapon. There seem to be few weapons that you see all in the first act. Then its just boring stat increases, and legendary items are just same as others just with better stats. The first and last act are excellent, the game nails the feeling of night city and the corporate controlled world. Combat is good mostly. I did all the side missions in the game, just did not buy all cars or do all of the scanner police things or all the small gigs, so not all of the open world stuff, but decent amount of them. My play time was 65 hours. Definitely worthy game to play through on pc.
